You might as well have a mid-range chipset because a mid range SoC can run day to day apps and games at stable 60fps anyway

[deleted post]Android mid-range and low-end tablets are cr*p. Even kids these days refuse them as birthday gifts, lol.
The only good Android tablets are flagship ones, and nowadays only Samsung makes such tablets. But, with the price paid for such a tablet, you are entering in ultra-book territory. So, not worth it, unless you do a lot of travelling, or have lots of money to afford laptop+smartphone+tablet+PC.

The chipset scores higher in benchmarks (other than Geekbench) than almost all other Androids with similar grade (SD865) chipset. iOS has Metal API so it performs better in games, although it does not come close to a gaming phone.
