the most important thing is that there is a big huge base of developers who are working for symbian and WM. Its like the litmus test for android for woing them towards this platform. Google with is capitalist motives had made so many people not using its products for privacy reasons. Lets see how the developer base responds to it.

It is rumored thet the phone manufacturers that will utilize the Android OS would be LG Electronice, HTC, and everyone's most hated company, Motorola. The last company will definitely use the Android so that it would shut those people up who say that Motorola phones suck in the software side. Prepare to have a RAZR with Android, people.

" why is it that some people on here lack the ability to write a single cohesive sentence, spell words correctly, or use grammar properly? "

The same reason you didn't...You need a capital at the beginning of the sentence (Why)and it should be or "use proper grammar".

                Just stick to commenting.

This operating system seems very capable in all terms. I would love to see that quake game on a handset such as nokia-ngage or something similar. I believe it oculd be very revolutionary and user friendly.

I notice the screen on the reference device is very responsive to his finger. It looks like it's using a similar screen technology to that of the IPhone as apposed to that of common Windows Mobile devices which after using both, I can say, that alone will make this better than Windows Mobile devices and better then Apple's as the OS will be more open to development. Looks like the potential to be the winner of Phone OS market

The phone is just a piece of reference hardware. Listen to the video people, we're just talking about the software here, not the hardware. That particular piece of hardware will likely never be released to consumers. It's solely and purely for developers to have something to test the software on.

OS looks promising, pity about the hardware though. Hopefully the final versions would see some improvements on that front. And the damned thing just froze up there. You could see him desperately trying to exit. His face looked almost petrified when the camera was back on him. Talk about murphy's law.
