f android. i will lose ALL respect for nokia if it gets android.
android is LAGGY!! i didnt say this. google did.
what do you think project butter is?
oh before you say, typical nokia fanboy. i own gs3.
all it has is great specs compared to my n9. and yeah.
IT LAGS!!!
i wont say that i regret entering the android world with the gs3 but androids need to get real.
wp7 is lagless and BETTER than android gingerbread and ice cream sandwich.
jellybean is better than windowsphone7. wp8 is top contender.
this is how it is:
wp8>androidjellybean>wp7>icecreamsandwich>meego>gingerbread>symbian>ios>maemo>bada>blackberry>palmos>windowsmobile6
in popularity its different. android>ios>symbian>wp>blackbery>meego>bada>everythingelse
be honest with yourselves. i will never buy apple. not even if ip5 is a super alien... maybe if it could compare to my alienware...
symbian and meego are great for feature phones. wp8 and android are great for power users. wp7 and ios are great for people who arent tech savvy.
its just life. i want premium nokia phone with feature phone os. i dont plan to play games or map the human genome with my mobile...that would be cool though :-)

"Update: Nokia got in touch with us and it turns out the interview was wrongly interpreted."
That's why we need exact quotes before making headlines.
"However, we can't think of any other mobile OS, which can be a viable alternative to the Windows Phone strategy, other than Android."
It doesn't have to be another OS, one solution would be to sell the whole mess to Microsoft and let them sort it out.

Short term pain for long term gain. Nokia is absolutely pursuing the right strategy to differentiate itself from the rest of the overcrowded Android Market.
With some gorgeous hardware and an ever improving OS, it won't be long before Nokia turns it around.

Can anyone tell me why not going on with Symbian?
It looks good and works fine.
Does symbian have some limitations with respect to the new and always developing hardware? That`s the reason?

In my opinion nokia, microsoft and blackberry are the three struggling brands. All of which on there own are losing the market.
Blackberry has its issues with software and development, windows came with wp7 claiming its there do or die shot at the mobile sector. It hasnt gained much as the software had issues and now the news that wp7 hardware can not be updated to wp8 ( try telling this to someone who has just signed a 2yrs contract recently. With a wp7 hardware). This wont win them much support.
Nokia has already lost the top position to samsung and has tough competition.
I would like to see nokia use their software for low and mid range devices and have a collaboration with blackberry and microsoft for high end devices. Mix bb intellectual rights like bbm and security with windows and go ahead take the competition out!!!

Finally a good news! I also think that Nokia should use multiple OS Mainly that Android takes away many fans. Not that Windows Phone is bad, but still not so good especially on the issue of hardware and screen resolution! And now this, Microsoft simply will not upgrade to Windows Phone 8 and decided to give a shut up in their customers by offering some features and it's ridiculous on the part of Microsoft! I never trusted at Microsoft and just after that time with any questions you have! And what is that agreement between Microsoft and Nokia? Does the contract is the Devil! What's this? Exclusive Microsoft and Nokia agreed? That this Nokia try the customizations without Android to see what happens! Sure, you have powerful hardware and quality with the highest revalise. You still have a great name! will certainly sell a lot! People like the look and features of the Android experience!

If you think Nokia's back-up plan includes Android, you are very much mistaken. I do find it funny though, the amount of people bashing Nokia, but as soon as Android and Nokia are mentioned, the Nokia bashes love it! That goes to show that most Nokia haters are trolls rather than haters, and probably own Nokia devices anyway. LOL
