I wish Nokia chose Android. I quite liked Nokias and I like Android very much, but I don't like Windows.
If a Nokia Android phone was I released, I'd probably buy it.
I wonder why they sticked with Microsoft at all. Android's popularity was pretty predictable. I think they made a rubbish decision.

I have had Nokia phone ever since the Nokia 5110 was the one to have and have just changed to my first non-Nokia phone, A HTC running Android. Had Nokia gone with Android, I would have bought a Nokia. Their OVIMaps is second to none as is their battery like. The problem, the Windows allegiance. Android gives the freedom to do what you want with your property. IOS is restricted to what Apple allows and WinPhone is close to the same. Nokia, please change to Android and you will win back customers and market share. Windows Phone is where Android was about 3 years ago.

If they retained Symbian and allowed that line to be open - reflashable to Android - I guarantee you it would be the best selling phone in the world...everybody buying Android phone today would choose a Nokia one!!
Am afraid, although am myself a MS developer, that this is some sort of "copenhagenization" of outstanding jewel in mobile devices -> by locking Nokia in their Windows platform Microsoft ensured, that a top non-apple product with non-windows platform won't come to the market :-( ..... well apples are pretty good but I think in hardware Nokias are comparable quality

dear nokia, i am a fan of you.
i am w8ing for your future phones.
but homestly i am confused right now.
you are very slow in producing new phones ( you produce new but they are all same )
we need wp8 running on a minimum 4.7" screen
with quad core processor,
and please integrate the pureview cam to it.
and we dont need a third party software to convirt videos to play on it. just need to play video by copying.
we like the design of lumia.. but we need something more in it.
so be fast . give us more. we expect more.
we cant wait much. or we will go to other manufactures sho knows what people wants.
good luck ..

Such a thing is unlikely while a Microsoft-loving/paid-for CEO is in charge at Nokia. The man should have been arrested for corruption, or at least sued into oblivion for acting against the company's interests, a long time ago.

"Many people are going to be quite happy if in fact Nokia joins the Android camp and starts manufacturing some truly high-end devices."
Well, that doesn't work for me, I will not be happy if that will be their Plan B.

Nokia could be on the top if they hadn't accepted Microsoft's money to use windows phone 7 and instead, going for Android. Nokia plus Android is the perfection.
Nokia is renowed for the quality of their products.
I can imagine how gorgeous a N9 styled droid would be...

Well, there's still the upcoming Firefox OS. I can't understand why Nokia hasn't joined Android yet...
Many manufactures rised because of android...
Maybe Nokia hates Android so much because it kind of finished killing Symbian after iOS.
Another possibility is going back to Symbian and make it on par, but it's like signing their end...

If someday Nokia develops a Droid, everyone will want it. Nowadays, Nokia may not have the best smartphones, but they have something many don't have: everyone knows them for ages and will look at everything they make. Lumia is the proof. Everybody wanted to "meet" one because it is the "Nokia superphone"
