A convict will be asked choose his punishment from option either "Eat 2 kg of onions" or "100 whips". Wise convict will decide to eat onions thinking it would be less suffering. After eating 1.5 kg of onion he would gets exhausted and opt of second punishment "100 whips". Here convict is Nokia. Hail Wise Nokia.

Hefty phones are of the past. If Nokia makes Android phones, they will be as heavy as stone. I like Samsung's way of keeping it light.

I hope Nokia doesn't go to Android. Something about Android makes it look like and old Windows XP desktop. Hopefully WP8 is a big success. Much more original that Android.

Wake up guys, MS screwed up bigtime on Windows Phone 7, but they are not the business leader in mobile industry so they are not in the position to reclaim anything like what they did on Windows 7 to clean up the mess of Windows Vista...
People telling us about the upgrade in OS and compared it to that of Android, almost all of the high end Android phones will get the latest OS while all windows phone (except for Lumia 610) has good specs and the best selling Windows Phone, Lumia 800 and 900 are both consider as High end phones should have got this upgrade.

and then lets see the mobile manufacturer battle (battery life, durability, speed, resistance to shocks.....)
as for Software companies & app developers battle it.

sure. the win ph 8 will fail! everything from ms fail when the hardware are in game (keyboards, a mice -horrible mice) so is the phone!
i am asking you and nokia: how can samsung have their proprietary os and nokia not? how is it possible after so many years of successfjul productions of quality phones?! and so many programmers (not to mention the the people from symbian).
now, it is to late because of the saturation of os´s for the phones and only solution is android!
forget the ms win for phone and for god sake nokia, dismantle this man from ms as the president of nokia!
he can not see nothing then the windows on the phone!
send him in samsung for learning what is the phone!

Nokia should come out its own OS to inspire everyone. Although it is hard to do that, but currently it is worth to try to make own OS. Like the Iphone os6. It is not likely to depend on others. What if one day the co. stop supplying the product, resource or Software. Nokia will be dead meat. Nokia should make something inspire the world. Be innovative to connect all the people in this world. Android for me is something like out dated. Try something novel, feasible and attractive.

This is why Nokia is in the dumps.
Android should be its main OS, not alternative.
WP8 will not gain as much market share as Android, so there will never be as many developers making apps for it. It's essentially S60v5 all over again.

Like Samsung & HTC who are putting several OSes in their products, Nokia are also capable of puting several OSes, so that everybody has their own chioce and buy Nokia products of their own OS preferences. Shall Nokia has a willingness to develop Symbian & Meego, these two OSes will catch up. It's hard to deny that Symbian FP 2 is beautiful. Also Meego. Why only One..??
