In Spain, it's 22.90 this month if you buy it direct from Honor. That includes delivery. Insanely cheap.

Besides hinting on AX6000, i'd like to add that AX3 Pro distributed in libtard overregulated countries have reduced antenna output. That's why you need 2 devices. If you want a version connectible to the app, with tru amplify, and all languages, you can get the Brazil version.

Pretty trivial review. Feels paid in every paragraph. So many speed metrics, but not a single real metric. No, the speed in the WiFi settings doesn't matter.
"You get support for both the popular L2TP and PPTP standards. Pretty-much every VPN provider out there will offer at least one of these" - well, no. No-one is offering these obsolete unsafe protocols. It's either OpenVPN or Wireguard, none of the included in this Router.
However i still enjoyed the review, because noone brought so many screenshots:) In fact, i consider it as a potential pair of 2 APs. For the majority of networking, i'd deploy something serious.
However AX6000 is coming soon, boasting 2.5Gbit port (finally, hello? what other manufacturers are doing? besides motherboard vendors noone wants to move aways from obsolete 1Gbit:(). Isn't it funny to sell "3000mbps" device on 1Gbit port?

JT, 19 Aug 2020Is it possible to set reserved DHCP on the Honor Router 3? ... moreYes, despite what it says in the article. You can change the DHCP range to anything in the 192.168.x.x range.

I just had one of these delivered. The range is worse than the router Virgin Media sent me 3 years ago. I have a hidden router and the signal is twice as strong on that cheap AC router. I also have an Orbi RBK50 with satellite for mesh. I thought this was the worst most unreliable router I had bought but the honor router 3 takes this crown. I get a poor signal 10 feet away through a 1 foot thick brick wall.

Currently Xiaomi AX3600 is the most powerful WiFi6 device in this price range, if you read the reviews. It has the fastest chipset and the best antennas among others. Unfortunately a global version is postponed to Sep/Oct 2020. Can't wait to get it.

Is it possible to set reserved DHCP on the Honor Router 3? I would like to have my IP camera IP address keep using the same IP address.
Thanks.

lmao can you imagine making a conscious decision to buy a router made by Huawei, and use it with all your devices at home?

Unplugging it, silence.... Sure, good job! And that model of PowerAV is still selling at retailers like Saturn and Media Markt today.
Have you ever dealt with Huawei at enterprise/carrier level? Their product can't even deliver of features their sales promise.

Redmi AX5 seems like a better deal. But it's not officially globally available yet.

It currently lists local stores in: United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Netherlands and Russia. The price is right around EUR 80. Most of the stores still have a few hours left on a promotion, including a free pair of headphones and a Honor band 5, as well. If you are quick enough, you can catch it.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2020if you care about privacy of your data stay away from these... moreIf you care about your privacy and your data stay away from US companies like google. Just last year Google has been fined $57 million by a EU parliament for not presenting transparent information about its data-gathering practices.
And one more thing. Im German i own 2 Huawei Routers one a LTE 4g router and the a wifi 6. And i know my privery is in good hands because: German Information Security Agency, and the European Commission have been investigating Huawei's products for several years, but they have not found backdoors or spying in Huawei's equipment. So far, no security problems have been discovered.
During the investigation of US equipment like Cisco products, security vulnerabilities, backdoors, were frequently discovered. From 2013 to the present, 10 backdoors have been discovered.
So yea i also own a Huawei mate 30 pro, so no google maleware.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2020I was interested in the router but saw it at a friends hous... moreI apologize if the review came out sounding biased in any way. That was definitely not the intention. I can assure you, it is not paid or sponsored in any way. The fact of the matter is that Honor just managed to deliver one of the first affordable Wi-Fi 6 routers to the European market, which we used as an opportunity to check, in a more general sense, whether a budget Wi-Fi 6 router is worth it over, say a slightly more feature-rich and higher-end Wi-Fi ac one, for around the same price.
Of course, as is usually the case, the answer varies greatly depending on personal needs and preference. Personally, I have been waiting for the Xiaomi ax3600 to come out on the global market for over 3 months now, but neither it, nor the Redmi ax5 seem to be close to an international release. My personal home network setup, as described in the review, is still based around an original Xiaomi Mi Wi-Fi Mini router, along with a Xiaomi Wi-Fi extender, that gets along well with its sibling router. In my mind, a Xiaomi AX3600 would have been an easier and more hassle-free, “drop-in” solution. However, I stand by my experience with the Honor Router 3. It was surprisingly easy to implant into my setup and it covers all of my feature needs well. My personal network seems to be rapidly expanding with IoT, which is why Wi-Fi 6 sounds like a perfect upgrade. Again, this might not be equally relevant or true for everyone out there. But, I do feel like now is a good time to start thinking about a reasonable Wi-Fi 6 replacement for existing ac equipment, if you are starting to board the IoT bandwagon.
Hence, if is fair to say that the Honor Router 3 is a perfectly valid Wi-Fi 6 value offer right now, but definitely not the only one to consider. What we really wanted to look at with the article is the bigger picture of whether Wi-Fi 6 is good value, clear-up some of its technical details and identify users that could potentially benefit from a router upgrade, now that they are affordable enough.

My friend just ripped out a Huawei router/switch/wifi combo from his house and replaced it with a Ubiquity EdgeRouter X and Unifi AP AC Pro.
The Huawei router sucked at the job.

I was interested in the router but saw it at a friends house and was disappointed.
To keep it short, aside from AX support it is even worse than my current 6 years old AC router, plus I really need 4x ethernet (for 2x PC, 1x NAS and 1x steam link) because I don't want a switch in between (in my country you cannot use your own modem, so my router is connected to the provided one, I prefer not even bigger cable mess)
That all aside this feels like a paid "review", that sucks and is misleading.
