For years I have broken a smart phone in average once every three months, Samsung's have lasted me days, I have destroyed iPhones and Motorola's. This phone has survived me and I recommend Nokia's to anyone that needs a tough smartphone not made for girl fingers a soft handbag and being babied. I have dropped my Nokia 5.3 on to concrete granite and marble without breaking anything. Impressive, smooth and tough.

using this for a month, for the given price feels best mobile, was using Nokia 3, looking for 4gb ram, big display (its big compared to Nokia 3), latest android, higher battery capacity, dedicated slot for memory card, all available in this. I do agree camera is normal, but still good for common use.till now its satisfactory.

All people, except you and other Nsheeps, knows that ALL I mentioned in my comments are facts!
I have said this over and over; My friends' Nokia 6 was a mess of a phone, which, compared to my Redmi 3s pro which only cost HALF the 6's price, is like a fraud phone; after several months of use already having MANY problems, such as broken usb connector, overheating which resulted in rebooting, and many others.
In fact, I'm using Redmi 3s prime right now to type this which is still running like champs!

What's the point of HMD 'rent' Nokia 'brand' if not for their 'brand power'?
Nokia WAS the MOST expensive smartphone brand, therefore 'a bit' of its 'brand power' still sell; just slap a Elephone phones with 'Nokia' stickers & voila! you got dirt cheap crap phones SUDDENLY priced like mid-range devices (just look at Nokia 1, 2, and 3 lineups!).
2. "It charges you for pure stock android"
This statement is PURE BS. ALL Android OS are FREE, especially Android One which is chock-full of Google software.
3. "regular security updates"
MEGALOL...
U talk like Xiaomi phones (and others') NEVER got security updates.
MIUI is widely known as the most diligent Android in releasing security updates in cheap devices.
4. 'Better display'
LOL, better display COMPARED TO WHAT?
In the same price tag, MOST Samsung devices offers AMOLED.
In the same hardware, Xiaomi & Realme offers cheaper devices.
5. 'better build'
MEGALOL...
So much for better build when MANY Nokia devices had BROKEN USB connector, overheating which resulted in reboot, and TONS more problem.
6. 'better camera sensors'
MEGALOL...
Even the 4 years old Mi 5s had THE SAME CAMERA hardware as Pixel (2016) but NO ONE fussed over it like U DO!
Having the same camera hardware DOESN'T mean shit when their camera software processing is shit!
MANY tech-savvy knows that current Nokia phones don't have good camera software processing.
And I can go on and on...

Pity on all saying overpriced. It doesn't charge you for the Nokia brand. It charges you for pure stock android, regular security updates, first phones next to pixel to receive the latest Android, better display (same resolution doesn't mean same display), better build, better camera sensors (Nokia 8.1 had the same sensor as that of pixel3A) l,... And I can go on and on...

Are you confused about something ? Even if it's in some other Asian factory it does not matter as this factory dont make phones for only Nokia to talk about there superior quality

All it's components are same made in China and by Chinese. This bs about ads on Chinese brands is probably only based on Region. I am in EU and i dont have any ads. All free aps are with ads and well there are tools made to remove the malware apps from Xiaomi phones. And never mind that you can root what ever on them you like. So what exactly on Nokia is way better. Higher cost for there device with lower hardware options.

Never mind of it's 10W charging speed. My Redmi note 5 even have 18W charging.
My 2 years old phone isnt better then this one but 2 years ago with same specs from Nokia was 2 times higher price.

Instead they could have ditched 2 or 3 camera modules, decreased the display size to 6" or even 5.8" keeping the resolution and the battery capacity. Thus decreasing the price and enticing people with better price and a device in this range which stands out compared to the competition with a compact form factor.
Except for Android One there is no standout feature or design language to prefer this phone over better performing devices in almost all areas - cameras, SOC and display.

Launched in australia four months ago! India usually get new phones way before us so I'm surprised
