18 August 2020
Normally, there isn't much space between sub-pixels. To make the OLED panel transparent, however, Xiaomi had to leave gaps.

I just gonna put this out there but the said LCD panels cam be transparent. That might be the way of making under screen finger print readers on LCD.

I wonder how close it is to the Panasonic, Sony, Samsung and other transparent displays, in terms of technology.

Wouldn't halved pixels require powering the OLED elements higher? That would mean faster burn-in, wouldn't it?

The render in the picture has elements that are darker than the background. Does each pixel also have liquid crystals for occluding the background?

When it's getting hard to get that 'wow' factor, turns out someone could still pull it off. This is what Apple would have made, had Jobs been alive.

It looks amazing. I'm just wondering about the image quality.

Soon we will see people using transparent devices like we seen in a movie. This is so cool.
