Abusing all the free resource without adhere any of the GPL/Apache license going as far as to hide their solution as being part of the open source foundation in their marketing presentation... Classy.
Open source not because they care, its because they have no other solution, instead of only open source the instruction set and hopefully it will get attention in Linux or BSD which Ali already has it own hands on.

US has made china realise that they must be self sufficient, so far China us the biggest buyer of electronics chips from outside their country, This could change with MADE IN CHINA 2030 and MADE IN CHINA 2035 long term plans.
And their own SMIC fabrication, which is now only at 14nm, which is great considering SMIC never had a fabrication better than 45nm process 3 years ago.
They have relied too much in ARM for SoCS and Windows for PCs,also Intel X86 for PCs. time to develop own Fabrication,OS, SoCs, App stores etc.,

Well, CCP took down ARM China division first, and you can see the recent mess due to it. That division company has gone full rogue. And ARM is probably one of the most important tech companies strategically. Tiktok US is a joke compared to that.
Trump's stance on China is the single best thing He's ever done. I hope the next government (probably Biden) would do the same.
