Anonymous, 21 Aug 2020He switches because of the issues of oled screens.Lol Redmi Note 8 also suffers from LCD screen burn-in/retention. It will occur if used under prolonged sustained load (such that phone gets hot). The quality in the Redmi Note 8 is cr*p. That S10 Lite was miles better.

You never had a Samsung coz those settings need to be done while setting up the phone.

At least you have some options. I mean you have the S8. Which I think is a better phone than any cheap model from Xiaomi. Maybe not future proof, but still.

Boggy-Stefy, 21 Aug 2020Why in the world did you switched from S10 Lite to Xiaomi R... moreI bought A50, returned it, bought it again months later and sold it. It had a crappy fingerprint sensor, unbearable. Then I bought the Redmi Note 8, which has a garbage light sensor and had notification issues for three or four months.

I kept it and bought the S10 Lite, trying my luck with one of the only Snapdragon variants for EU. It was amazing at nearly everything (Speaker wasn't any good and lack of headphone jack and adapter was also bad), but it too has the infamous "green tint" at different spots and it wasn't or ever will be fixed.

Now I'm stuck with the Redmi and have to fight with the brightness slider every day...

Unless I use my S8 which has a new battery but drains quickly even with 70% downclock. Why? Because Exynos...

Every new phone is the best one I ever owned and the Note20 Ultra is no different. The refinements over the Note10 Plus, last year's wonderphone, now dethroned but still potent, are noticeable. Would that it always would be like this. The Note20 Ultra's camera is quick to focus and somewhat intuitive to use absent my getting too deep into custom settings; I'll avoid that for the moment. All-in-all, I'm very happy with it over the past 48 hours. My favorite phone overall, for 17 years running remains the Sanyo SCP-5500; a significant device in its day. I bought one of those for my girlfriend back then and we had a blast using them. Sprint's designation for the SCP-5500 was VM-4500.

If I understood correctly. I mean RN8 is Redmi Note 8, no? That is an inferior phone, however you choose to look at it.
Also, I am curious what didn't you like at S10 lite, I think is one of the best Samsung mid-range phones. At least on paper and in Europe, being that comes with SD, not the inferior Exynos chipset.
