Nice, Samsung achieved its goal of pushing people to get the Note 20 Ultra or just look for other alternatives by purposely making the Note 20 so crappy when compared to its counterparts.

A device can be IP68 and still offer better waterproofing than another IP68 device, as the certification only defines the _minimum_ it must achieve.

Should have not existed in th... moreWell, I would not say that the existence of the regular model is pointless, at least to have the regular model with smaller screen (smaller dimensions). The good example is previous generation, Note 10 and Note 10+. This time they made almost identical phones (in terms of size), and on the other hand, the regular Note offer much less then the + model. Looking at this year, yes it is pointless, but my opinion is that Samsung did it intentionally because everyone, of course who is able, will collect few hundred more (euros, dollars) to buy the + model. That's exactly what Samsung wants!!! I believe that it is the last year to see the regular model.

Samsung almost doesn't exist in China. But at least they receive Snapdragon version. I live in China and use S20. This phone is great ONLY after switching off some bloatware, now i get 8-9 SoT and thats fine.

As I already said few weeks ago, it look like the phone industry is trying to be as stupid as possible by making tons of totally insane decisions, just making a punch hole is already stupid, but pushing so much that over half of released devices on the market have one is literally the stuff stupidity is made of...
And it look like, at this game as taking all the worse decisions and making the stupidest things, Samsung is the absolute king !

The plastic back allowed it to be a tad lighter and more drop resistant, also allowing a much bigger battery , a headphone jack and only conceding a bit of girth.
Instead , samsung built compromises into both note models,
1080p on the vanilla model as well and zero fast refresh rate to really sink the knife in with a twist.
although the note models are still good phones , samsung had a chance to make both models absolute killer devices , but did not imo.
instead they have made devices that people will buy for a certain feature rather than being all around killer devices ( A missed opportunity imo ).

apple, Huawei also at times had this problem , it was said in the Huawei problem it was caused by using too much sealer or glue on the assembly process ,
if it was just a screen issue it would happen to all of them , but clearly it does not.

There is no increase in depth/time.
Saying a phone can be 2m/1h while IP68 says 1,5m/30min is false advertisement.

I dont get the exynos hate ... I have a note 7 & 9 with snapdragon and I hate the performance of snapdragon, constant frame drop and lagging when gaming sometimes even when having multiple apps open it lacks.
Are you telling me exynos is worst than this ? my last exynos SoC phone the S4 works perfect for me. pry explain !

Not surprised. 1080p for that price is diabolical. Especially being AMOLED.
