And if you don't need the highly-advanced health tracking, getting a Versa 3 will save you $100. The new Inspire 2 smart band is even cheaper.

This is relatively new technology and companies want to make money by selling immature technology.
They just take advantage of the health aspects of this tech because our society is very health-oriented after the fall of McDonald's (lol) . If you noticed people seek for home-made food when they dine outside.

I would wait for another 2 years before I would buy a wearable because pretty much everyone is disappointed and I don't want to spend another $300 for experimentation purposes.

Wait until all companies have their ECG and VO2 approved and they you can buy one.

    Coming from Charge 2, Alta, Versa 2.

    Conclusion: Don't buy!

    Why? Poor support, h/w compatibility & overall software experience. Once the battery is dead, it's done. Absolutely no repairs offered by fitbit at all. Was never compatible with my OnePlus 6T, so the GPS & push notifications never worked reliably as I was expecting. And they never mention that on box. Ridiculous!

    Remarks: Fitbits are neither proper smart watches, nor good fitness trackers. Go for Apple Watch or even some Garmins if that suits you.

I am not sure... moreThe reason I didn't go for the new Samsung is that it uses the same sensors as the Active 2 and those are widely viewed as rather inaccurate. I went with Garmin, and it's much more accurate in all aspects but possibly sleep.

          I own a Fitbit Inspire last year and the step tracking is very inaccurate. When walking it register more steps than it should. 2 hours of driving and the watch is telling me that I have reached 20k steps! Send it back for repair but got a new replacement unit instead and it also have the same issue with the first unit.

          I did also use MiBand 2, that one was ok in terms of tracking. At least It does not register the steps when I was driving. Garmin Vivoactive 3 was the best one I used so far. But Garmin app was way to complicated compared to Fitbit.

            Fitbit Sense seems to have good technologies. I am not sure about the accuracy of the sensors.
            Galaxy Active 2 for instance is completely inaccurate and it's not Chinese technology. It's just bad technology, bad sensors, terrible in all aspects. It detects everything wrong wrong wrong.

            So yeah. If the multi-billion company "Samsung" cannot make it good, I wonder how good all other smaller companies can do it.
            Is it all marketing tricks in the end ?

              I would never buy another Fitbit. Sensors are as bad as Chinese fitness trackers, terribly inaccurate for real workouts -- GPS connections drop, Heart Rate is inaccurate or it drops.

              Support is poor for existing products. Go look on their forums to see all the problems. Instead of caring about all the issues, or apologizing for the false promises about SpO2, the CEO instead pens a pandering letter in support of BLM....

              No, that does not help us with all the issues and it just adds insult to injury. I bought a Garmin instead and I am so much happier. Stay away from Fitbit.
