IMHO Covid is just a part of the "reason why" ... I mean ... We need even bigger phones! With 1500€ price tag! 7" smartphones simply won't cut it! Can't wait to take a call or a photo with my new handset 12" Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ ...
Flasghips in 2020 just got so boring and uninspired.

Next galaxy s21 ultra will come with Spen might no more note line Samsung trying to cut some cost.

Dorsefrith, 26 Aug 2020It is a hole in the market caused by ... punch hole :D I am... moreHuh? Punch holes are bad? You can't even notice them!!! I have a notched phone (a motorola one macro, a samsung galaxy a40 and an a50, and a black shark 2, a phone without cut-outs). And let me tell you, between the a40 and the bs2 I see no difference. Also no content stretches that far onto the screen so you can notice the notch.

Why are you all hating stuff that doesn't matter.
I prefer phones with bezels and I 100% encourage that. But I don't hate what's not bad

It is a hole in the market caused by ... punch hole :D I am still waiting for a decent phone with a screen not spoiled by notch or punch hole. Lucky that I bought OnePlus 7 Pro which is still enough for me for any possible usage like media, playing, reading. Having a screen tat fills almost whole area of my vision is crucial for me since the screen is what differs a phone from a smartphone! #PopUpCameraFTW

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2020I am sure that the no reason price increase of smartphones ... moreNot much, reason is that by far most Android phones sold are cheap phones which people just buy when they visit stores. Now with COVID people can’t go/want to go to stores like before. That’s why big chunk of daily sales not happening. In other hand Apple sells expensive phones which people want and have decided already to buy. That’s why Apple is least affected by this COVID and actually grew their sales.

I am sure that the no reason price increase of smartphones has no connection with the decrease in sales
