Herr Zeba, 29 Aug 2020If in had that kind of money laying around I would paid off... moreWell if you own credit card around that 2000$ usd amount then you should be paying it instead of thinking of getting new phone or even tryna comment something like " i would " no you not gonna "would" you have to pay it lol. Why are u even comment this? No one in their right mind should purchase anything expensive.while owing big anmount of debt

HoldEm, 28 Aug 2020It's ok. Lots of us don't mind the CREASE. We won... moreYou're right. Speaking from experience with the OG Fold, in regards to the viewing experience, I would have to zero in or awkwardly angle the phone to catch the lighting just right to notice the crease while in use.

Physically, of course the crease is there. It can be felt while using the device. However, it's a non issue as the display is so smooth that it never interferes with normal usage at all. I would use the multi-window feature and manipulate the separation bar with ease. Long pressing and dragging my finger to copy countless amounts of text was as effortless as always. Dragging and dropping many photos/files within Solid Explorer worked a treat. So, again, the crease is NO ISSUE.

Expect the Galaxy Z Fold2 to be a much better and more refined experience overall. I will purchase with confidence.

As a side note, with maybe the exception of upcoming Surface Duo, all foldable "dual screen" smartphones up to this point (Kyocera, ZTE, LG, etc) have been cumbersome and counterintuitive. Microsoft is the first company that will possibly make this form factor worthwhile, and that speaks volumes considering how much of an immersion killing eyesore the hinge is known to be.

Anyway, purchase devices which makes YOU happy. Ignore disparaging comments from others who purposely goes out of their way to ruin your joy. If you can afford it, and you like it, don't wait! Just buy it! The next best thing is always just around the corner. Live for right now, not tomorrow as it is not promised.

        Peace.

HoldEm, 28 Aug 2020It's ok. Lots of us don't mind the CREASE. We won... moreYou are clearly blind if you say that no one won't notice the crease. I used to own a Galaxy Fold before and I cannot stress how much I HATE seeing the middle crease everytime I unfolded the phone! It looked so bad that I eventually had enough and sold it in favour of an LG V50 with DualScreen case. Now I'm not looking back and definitely not regretting that decision.

If in had that kind of money laying around I would paid off my credit card. Perfectly happy with my used Note 8.

YUKI93, 28 Aug 2020Hang on a minute! How come the European and UK market cost ... moreSadly everything in Europe is expensive. If something is $1000 in US, Europe will get things for €1000 without any currency calculation.

Not bad about the price reduction, considering the much bigger outer and inner screen, and the various improvements in hardware. At the moment Samsung seems to be the sole company to be able to pull off the folding smartphone. Huawei's brittle phones are a joke and Motorola Razr2019's hardware wasn't ready for 2019 or 2020. I am guessing iPhone may have one ready by 2022-23, the iFold.

Hang on a minute! How come the European and UK market cost absurdly expensive? The first-gen Galaxy Fold here in Malaysia only costs €1,700 / £1,500 brand new. How on Earth it cost €2,100 / £1,900 over there?
