Donnie, where are you getting your info from. i am SD for a worldwide telecommunications company and i can tell you that Samsung and clamshells are on there way back. do you not realise that two on one means ur wrong. eat your words and come back when your have been through school.

i think now samsung have to stop makin 5mp camera phones they r givin same specifications in every fone,it will affect thier market

Claver ,innovative idea for camera usage position , and shape like a slim thin wallet.
On the inside its modern, clean cut design key pad.

Whats you point???? Samsung should stop making calmshells???
If you know the market then you should know that it was Samsung who once made that form factor a huge success in asia n europe. Thats why that form factor is called "Calmshell" (Korean Term) and not "folder"(nokia) or "flip"(motorola).
Then came the time for Slider. Samsung is doing pretty well there. A good chuck of that 39% belong to them. Even some complain why samsung makes so many sliders..Nokia and SE followed that trend.
Now ts time for Touchscreens...that is exactly what samsung is doing. Look at SE recent releases..going touchscreen. Check Nokia., they are working on touchscreen S60. But did they stop making calmshells? NONE.

so yeah its personal views and im airing my views so your all contradicting what yur saying
clamshells make up 3% of the market where as slide handsets take up 39%
this is why companys have stayed away from them
and belive me i know this so dont come all big and say its incorrect because that is market information up toi date as of january 2008

To the person looking for 5mp with WiFi...check G810.
and Donnie...Looks like you dont like samsung in general not this perticular model...personally I dont find any other clamshell attactive at all. In fact Nokia and SE should learn how to design a nice one. There are people who still go for this form factor. If clamshels are outdated then its not in your interest. Lets not waste time here and say things like this gonna be a flop. If you have anything to add please visit U900 soul or G810.
Samsung has simply put U900 in a clamshell. I dont think they are looking for a huge success here. Havn't you noticed they dont release that many clamshells these day??!!. peace!

donnie, i think you need to move on to another company. your obviously beinf pumped with incorrect information. how are clamshells dated? everyone has a pesonal preference. not everyone goes for a brick. keep your comments to yourself if your goint to attack others. i personally think this phone will be a good seller. and i would know.

at the end of the day sweetheart its personal experiance with the handsets and ive never had a good smasung EVER
clamshels are outdated
the fact that there are very few networks that can run over 3.6mbps on hsdpa means theres no point having it at that speed in the west so just like the f700 will only be released with 3.6 mbps hsdpa
i work for a mobile company and belive me when this handset is released it will flop
oh and just for the record i never said that the g600 had the worst camera i said it has a poor camera

Sory cant agree with you. They have completely changed their interface in recent lineups. You can have diffent theams...you can create one. The problem with customised message tone is gone. The new camera module they are using are based on G800/G810. Why GMSarena didnt do a test on that? I dont think G600 was worst. It was K850. This is not about who is best or who is top 3.
The point is do you a calmshell that is under 16mm thick and has
7.2mbps HSDPA,
5 mp auto focus cam
and a Large touchscreen on the outside? you dont.
If its not a improvement for Samsung. It surely is an improment for the market. Cheers!

both myself and my gf have had several samsungs over the past 10 years and all of them are similer in interface
the cameras are poor regardless of megapixel
the sound quality the headset speaker is somwhat tinny
and the most of all the battery life is very poor
the handsets are designed for style and im sorry but the style of this handset is horrible and dated
the 5mp camera on the g600 is poor quality and im sure this will be the same
my top 3 would be
1:-nokia
2:-blackberry
3:-s.e

did u say that samsung is one of the worst companies ... i cant agree with u on that ... there are much worser cell phone brands than samsung ... and im a nokia fan but i speak the truth i think samsung is the third best , first is nokia second is s.e. ... its like that and for fourth it must be lg & motorola and then other brands ... samsung is one of the top model names in cellular history they did a good job in design before and they are doing a good job in designs right now ... also there cameras are really good take a look at there prizes which are very reasonable i really liked there touch pad equipped e950 from its looks i thought it will be very high on prize but i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw its prize tag ... samsung got one of the coolest displays around take a look at one of there older products and how they are doing in display quality maybe like the z510 they are doing the same great job still ... my only complain about samsung is its battery life some samsung phones are really bad on there battery life ... well no phone is 100 % perfect samsung will survive for longer as the third best mobile brand in the world for sure ... i hate to say this but compared to nokia (which is my fav.) and s.e. samsung makes really good and better fashionable designs ...
