Samsung sells its LCD plant in China to TCL for $1.8 billion

Well thats strange considering Samsung only have one panel in 2022 that is the s95B QD-OLED and have to buy all their LCD panels from other manufacturers.

Samsung is focusing their own production towards Quantum Dots technology. Besides, Samsung owns a good portion of TCL too. They are staying there, only in different level.

              Thats it game over for LCD's, LG is discontinue LCD production in South Korea too, OLED will be soon major platcorm on tv's and rest of the gadgets, at last no more shitty screens :)

                Panda, 31 Aug 2020This is the most overlooked part..all the spying & thef... moreExcept the article clearly shows it's not just Chinese companies involved as global technology spy trade is...well global. Not to mention it's Koreans acquiring the trade info and trying to sell it, with Chinese buyers paying the most for the information.

                  Of late a lot of comments get deleted by gsm. It appears they're censoring many comments. Almost seems like they're only allowing one kind of opinion.

Quite an eye-opening article.

                              I actually hope Samsung focuses more on QLED technology as I'd rather NOT have burn in on my displays where I am gaming. I don't mind Notes having amoled but I don't want my display burned in with HP statuses or whatever.
