You are one of the sane people here and like-minded like I. You have good ideas, ask good questions and also give good replies so thank you for what you do because you do know the other flip side of things of which some would rather shut their eyes and stay mum then do what's right.

This is because of peoples like that, that there is no real change in privacy and that this is totally normal nowaday for a company to listen what you say in your own house or to sell a pic of you in the crapper for god know what purpose...

ishreal, 01 Sep 2020Do you dude. Sounds crazy and unnecessary but ok.It's surprising how you find this crazy when it doesn't sound crazy at all lol..

Everything has a reason - if you're not able to source a 100% secure device, then a small piece of tape is the most logical thing to do since privacy is priceless... unless you're going to manually remove your cameras so might as well remove the microphones too, all in one pull ;)

Of course China got this tech first. It'll probably be a pain to get an International version working in the U.S.

Well done to ZTE bravo! This is what i have been waiting for, nomore notches and puch hole cameras and mechanical contraptions poppin up and down makin wierd noises just to unlock the phone screen. Under display tech is always best now all phone will be super and then none will look inferior the smartphone started as a slow and toyish thing for rich folks now its about to be like sci-fi movies tech. Gaming has now focued to mobile and has made huge leaps and with this current pace not too long from now gaming riggs will be buried as cloud based computing is ready for the masses networks are on the brink of a massive speed increases and latency is about to be competent for live streaming of games i cant wait to experience the on coming wave of new tech.

The demand is not very high as there are currently only 15,000 pre-orders although there are still 8 days to go. Zte is niche brand in China and sales of their previous Axon 11 were very low. This definetely is more popular than that that model but the demand is currently low at least relative to the hottest phones which have hundreds of thousands of pre-orders

AnonD-804996, 01 Sep 2020Would be nice if pixels around selfie cam highlighted the c... moreIt’s not necessary to „highlight“ the area around the camera (though, it would probably look nice). Xiaomi has privacy-related pop-up icons, in MIUI 12, when various sensors of the phone are in use. Once the under display cameras start to pick up steam, I fully expect that all relevant OEMs will include similar notification pop-ups. Actually, it will probably become a native feature in Android.

And so… IT BEGINS! 😊 The era of under-display cameras is here!

Also, the phone looks gorgeous! If the frontal camera would be a Quad Bayer sensor, it would further help in capturing more light.

I think this is a move in the right direction. As with every new tech that comes around, naysayers are gonna say many things, but under screen cams are gonna be the next big trend in smartphone design and there's been a lotta buildup toward this for the past 2-3 years. Of course, the tech's still in a nascent phase and initial image quality might not be as grand as other selfie cams, but this is the inevitable direction of smartphone design and it goes without saying that the quality's gonna improve within the next year or so. However, while I appreciate the clean n prissy look of such phones, I really wish sense prevails vis-a-vis the 3.5 mm jack. Some of us audiophile folks with high quality gear can't live sans one and BT headphones have many miles to go before they come remotely close to the quality of high-end wired ones.

I would prefer equal thick top and bottom bezels rather than unequal thin top and bottom bezels

Lets just hope those won't invade the market and some will be smart enough to keep doing pop up and release phones without front camera and the good old bezel too.
But the smartphone industry is expect at making mainstream the wrong tech, so...

Whilst i think the top bezel system is perfectly fine and practical, congratulations on this achievement. A lot of work obviously went into that.

Most of them be like this as they only try to follow the trend no matter how ridiculous it may be.
