Kuo: Apple will miss the shipment targets for mmWave-enabled iPhone 12 models

01 September 2020
Miss by a mile too. The analyst partly blames this on the slower than expected roll-out of mmWave base towers (due to COVID-19).

MrLong, 02 Sep 202080%+ phone users are low-end or other budget phones anyway.... moreEven if we assume that 80% are using low end phones.
20% are using expensive ones which translates to 100 plus million users way more than Europe.
All those 100 million users will eat up your island country for breakfast.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2020Very hostile and passive agressive commentSorry, but he's right.

EU market for Apple is still bigger than India.

India is small-time as most users are extremely price-sensitive.

I can't believe myself if a guy complains a Poco F2 Pro costing less than $400 in India expensive. And wants it to cost $200 only. Mi 10 and Realme X50 Pro already costing cheap, only in India. And have received complaints.

Wanting SD865 phone for $200? Not going to happen until 2023.

        This is BS!
It's just a marketing scheme, to trick people to rush in and buy the phone, before "stock runs out".
And I'm a bit disappointed GSMArena is taking part in it ....

Ppl like you will ask for a source if someone says the Sky is blue and Apple is red in color.

They can just release a 4G phone and a typical Apple user won't even notice. 5G is not even that relevant nor have wide coverage now, I'd say another 5 years needed before I would buy a 5G phone.

I don't think anyone cares about mmWave outside of a few US cities. They completely goofed it when they implemented mmWave before sub-6G.
