Interesting concept , the smaller screen will have its use but I will wait for it to flop and Samsung or someone else to execute it better. I have stopped expecting anything good from LG.
I own a iPhone XR and 8 , the best phone that I have ever owned was LG G6 , I still have the handset but don’t use it , the software updates dried up after one OS update.
LG showed the mobile world that wide angle lens was far more important
They were also the early guys who gave IP68 rating on budget handsets
They had the v40 with 3 lenses which sSamsung started rocking on its flagship and now everyone does it
The gesture control was with LG G8 which google tried to adapt in Pixel
LG is one company that has mastered the art of best Product Concepts but shoddy final Products . I don’t know how they fare in Korea but even if they came out with concepts and sold those ideas to Samsung or Apple they will make more money than selling handsets!

AJJAIN, 03 Sep 2020needless design and concept..... We'll see about it.

YUKI93, 02 Sep 2020I'm actually sold to that Wing idea, it does look fab.... moreDoesn't matter. You can get the Velvet for a little over 300 USD used 2 months after launch. Well, in Korea but still....

i think now a days MOTOROLA is doing much better than LG in terms of design and looks of the phones..........

          needless design and concept.....

YUKI93, 02 Sep 2020I'm actually sold to that Wing idea, it does look fab.... moreIt is quite interesting , but they have to use this design to its full potential and make some great features to be worth it just like they did to dual screen

I'm actually sold to that Wing idea, it does look fab. But I'll wait to see the official spec and also the RRP.

                  Pass.

                    a) as something different it will get the brand publicity
                    b) there just might be a niche for this, for those of us tired of wasting half a landscape display with a fake keyboard.

I highly doubt they expect is to sell to a large portion of the market, and whether it can be considered a flop is a matter of it fulfilling their expectations for it...

But always interesting with new ideas. I doubt it will catch on, but time will tell.

LOL. LG killed V series for midrangers and now this... What they are smoking? :)

AnonD-945200, 02 Sep 2020oh come on lg do make something useful ,something affordable 😐 try any lg with dual screen - v50, g8x/v50s, v60, velvet... if only sony did not release xperia 1 ii, v50 with dual screen is the least thing i would buy from lg... so i guess i will revive my g4, if i can find a battery seller...

I quite like that actually. It works well. With the keyboard below and a full wide screen un hindered and notifications above? Interesting. Even if it is not your cup of tea. One should encourage companies to experiment. It is the only way forward. And may bring to light something even better later on... Great news. Someone breaking the mould.

What can be done better with this form facter that an LG Dual Screen or a Samsung Z fold/flip cannot? I don't think a lot of developers will jump ship on this form factor.
