I've been dreaming of having a phone that has everything I need with no compromises and I hope we both succeed in this. I saved your imgur details some time ago and it was cool to revisit your concept again yesterday when you posted it the other day so I'll comment on it later on and maybe one day we can link up and put our ideas to work! 😀

This is an absolutely amazing phone! But one that I personally would not purchase. For starters, it's to darn expensive. For the price, I can purchase an excellent phone like the LG V60 I already own plus a 5G ready table. the Z fold2 is also heavy! I carry my phone in my pants pocket and 10oz, it would be a significant burden. Then there's the fragile screen; god forbid you get a coin lodged in the crack! So, if you're going to have to use a padded purse/merse to carry your phone, why not just get a 7" or 10" tablet instead? For that matter, why do you even need a 5G table when you can use your phone to tether to the Internet?

And since I would keep this design, or something similar, you wouldn't miss it anyway :D

e0ne199, 03 Sep 2020if it is not water resistant then why did they make its bat... moreActually we could make removable battery and water resistant or even real waterproof.
My fictional concept phone design is actually having such capabilities :
                https://imgur.com/gallery/ykYfaa6

                Explanation :
The stylet who serve as a regular stylet and magnetic connectors adapters holder have a third function.
If you reverse the head, you get a screwdriver (though this one reach deep to avoid wear and allow more torque), from the pen's storing hole, you have the matching screw, if you unscrew it, it loosen and release a watertight latching mechanism which hold the big rectangle part on the back of the phone, using 3 latching layers, one being for physically hold it in place, the other for water sealing and the last for contacts (as this big square also serve as a big contact based, wireless data and charging surface).
Removing it reveal the sim card slots, SD card slots (yes, plural, two of them), and access to some physical switches for controlling some features, and of course, give access to the removable battery.
It also give access to all the inner screw to open the phone with his watertight body, allowing quite easy maintenance and no need to use thermal joint while still having a water resistant (or even waterproof) body.
And all this is totally realistic and faisable, the latching mechanism wouldn't necessarily take much space and would be quite practical to operate, meaning in essence we can have removable batteries and water resistance, this wouldn't be the first product combining the two, some quite cheap that work in water things have both, like some cheap toys for bath, though some are so cheap many models aren't water resistant enough and died (but so do IP68 rated phone anyway), with a proper latching mechanism, once the R&D cost was covered by few models, it would be quite cheap but efficient.

if it is not water resistant then why did they make its battery non-removable??

The cost price is a large screen 6,7” and 7.6” also a 120Mhz screen and it could be open in a different degree angel, 256Gb Rom is still alot. Its the choice what u want 512Gb Rom and ear buds and small screen or the new one

I have the first fold and it's an absolutely amazing device! A bit too expensive, but truly an engineering marvel. However I don't understand the prices on the new one. Last year, with £100 extra I have received 512 Gb, a pair of Galaxy Buds and free cover.

Wow!! what a difference a year makes. This new model is 1,000,000 % better than its predecessor. This device looks absolutely fantastic and way ahead of anything else on the market.

Samsung just bring back the same idea of Nokia e7, but in different way.

I'm not paying that much for something that'll only receive software updates for a couple of years, and security updates for a little while longer.

I'm fine with it being a premium device and all, but it needs premium support too.

Personally I like the smaller outside screen better like the First Galaxy Fold..
The smaller screen is easier to use one-handed and easier to protect against scratches / cracks.
Secondary screen shouldn't be full-fledged as it served as secondary purposes only.
                                      Keeps the cost lower too

This is a greatly refined device and really looks like from the future but as history taught us with the S4 and Note4, it's best to wait for the Fold4 aka the 4th generation phone as in my opinion the Fold4 will definitely have the new 108MP cam ( which by then should be very much improved ) and water resistance will most likely be added too.
