kattya, 24 Jul 2012still no update in India... India is always last to get upd... moreThe ICS update is a bit hefty on the data size, so you unfortunately will not be able to receive the update over the air (OTA). Rather, you will have to fire up Samsung’s proprietary Kies phone-PC interfacing software. If you don’t have it then check this step by step tutorial to Update your Samsung AT&T Galaxy Note to Android 4.0 ICS here http://www.careace.net/2012/07/10/how-to-update-samsung-att-galaxy-note-android-4-0-ics-2/

Tousif, 28 Jul 2012is it ok to use odin? Will all my apps and setting remain ... moreYes its safe using Odin. Make sure you use Odin3 version 1.85 or 1.87. Its always better to backup all your contacts, messages and call logs (with Kies) and also contents from your phone memory and SD card if any just to make sure you don't lose any data. If you are not aware of the eMMC bug, pls go through this link before upgrading http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28589629&postcount=61. DO NOT Factory reset or wipe from ICS. It may damage the phone if the eMMC chip in your device is a buggy version. You can check it with an app "eMMC Brickbug Check" from google play. Take caution on every step. Happy Flashing.

Installed 4.0.4 (from 2.3.6) OTA with succes in The Netherlands. Only one issue that USBstorage empty is afhter upgrade. So before upgrade backup the files in USBstorage. USBstorage is only visible in 4.0.4 when a external usb memory stick is connected.

samsung should have a calendar for this kind of release. It's so annoying to be in dark knowing that you have paid for this.
