the tech nerd, 09 Sep 2020Umm.. ohk i think you misunderstood when comparing these ch... moreNot misunderstood but giving you the idea of actual power user.. There is 9850h can be found.. Get your fact straight.. Or change your name.. The suggested tdp of this series coffee lake processor is 45w.. Can be configure to 35w at minimal.. For ARM SoC mainly Qualcomm or Huawei or Sammy come with 5w tdp range.. But can hit to 10-12w range.. And I mentioned apple flagship tablet SoC the optimal tdp is 15 watt compared to 7-10w for SD laptop SoC.. These SD chipset are settle to hit upto 15-18w at higher clockspeed.. A12z/x can got up to 25w.. Same as similar x86 processors..

The point is ARM won't bother to go further because of inferior power draw.. These ARM soc can't literally handle that and power consumption will be soooo awful even than x86

Yet you didn't understand properly what I meant..
Even if I compare model with lower power draw U or Y series mid rage as usual.. These flagship can't complete by any sense..

the tech nerd, 05 Sep 2020It's 8cx 2nd gen chip broo..(I know tigerlake is going... moreActually it won't matter much because it got similar clock speed as 8cx 1st gen. Which might be even less powerful than SQ1.. Only gpu would be some what more powerful..

So still slower than that mediocre intel mobile cpu I mentioned in cpu performance.. And let forget about Tigerlake. Even the most powerful ARM SoC (A12 bionic x or upcoming A14) can't stand against a high mid range cpu 9th gen 9850h,, let forget about 10th gen and 11th gen cpu.. I'm not even talking about amd CPUs.. Then it would be absolutely shame for those ARM top tier flagship processors..

the tech nerd, 04 Sep 2020Having a chip 7W chip performing better than a previous ge... moreThat result was actually BS.. XD the comparison between 8250U and 8cx were sited of the same benchmark test.. But the actual result is different, the mentioned 8250U which was pretty much middle class cpu can get higher score in geekbench and cinebench both in single and multi core compared to even later over clocked SQ1.. So the 8cx would trashed by 8250U anytime.. Where both 8cx and SQ1 are flagship SoC compared to 8250u which was pretty much lower end mid range cpu.. Lmao

I think Qualcomm is following Pinebook' to implement arm on laptop industry.

the tech nerd, 04 Sep 2020Having a chip 7W chip performing better than a previous ge... moreI understand that. I really hope that Microsoft can really push forward the x64 emulation for W10 ARM as fast as possible. It's been long overdue now.

Having a chip 7W chip performing better than a previous generation i5 laptop 15W is honestly a massive flex but not being able to support normal desktop apps really hurts it(i know the version of windows itself is not same to be real on both chips)
