Let me get this straight, they didn't want to make a Keyboard Slider Chin/Addon for LG G5...but a Windmill-Copter-BookerT-looking Phone...Blackberry Passport or Landscape Slider...not this
My LG G6 Jaw Concept is better and even the idea
Blackberry Plane [Passport Size + All-Screen [So -Keyboard]
+ Transparency Case that Taps Screen w/Keypress
w/Frontside - Landscape Key Bumps & Backside - Portrait Key Bumps
= Flip case Backward if you like Portrait or Landscaping Typing more
= The bumps act like a TouchPen only when press
= Users slip a printout paper w/Key Labels under Key Bumps section [Flip between 2 config], but with Amoled you can config the Screen off, Backlighting or go Paperless w/Soft-Lit Characters]
Blackberry Pilot [Same size/lo-spec Passport, but No-Touch, Touch Keyboard Mechanic/Features/Re-Config Focus like pick Split Touchzones to Click-LR, Mouse/Scroll-UDLR, Wheel-UD/Click per app & w/KiaOS = Lo-Power OS based on Android]
If you like my ideas vote

"..this design is definitely fresh"
did you forgot LG used the same design as LG VX9400? That phone was used in first Ironman movie 2008.
In scene where Tony Stark used to communicate with Obediah about the successful presentation of a Stark Industries Jericho missile

It looks cool. Literally like the old phones that has a rotating screen minus a keypad.
Not sure it could save LG though.

skimminstones, 08 Sep 2020Just dont get the point of it. It's ok. You have 1 billion rectangles to choose from anyways. This is for those small group of people tired with iphoney looking models.

AnonD-909757, 08 Sep 2020Haters gonna hate and idiots still gonna pretend that produ... moreDon't forget how touch slabs were mocked before but now they are almost all, sadly, what we have.
These people never tried multiscreens on either phones or laptops. Heck, dual sim versions might totally forgo the need for a secondary phone with LG dual screen stuff.

No headphone jack at the bottom. smh. Hope the top has one but it looks too thin for it.

I don't think this will be well accepted in the market. I remember a scene from Ironman where I guess Tony was using a similar phone but it had qwerty.

I hope this sells well :) phones need to be fun and interesting again. We've seen just slabs & glass sandwiches for almost 10 years now.

Oh wow, glad to see LG didn't follow the trend and continue producing their own idea. Hats off to LG and also Sony and Fairphone for that matter. It is definitely refreshing to see smartphone companies like them not embracing the latest trending craze.

See also this with more images, though front only https://youtu.be/gzd2-BwQUrw and a lot of ads in between.
The movement seems to be a combination of a rotation and vertical motion.
It is not quite clear if they are coupled or independent.
