HTC One X boasts Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and NOT Snapdragon S4 (Krait). S4 is present in HTC One XL.

plus if it is a note type of device it will have a higher ppi and more power to make it a better experience.

All the focus is on more speed and power but what about the battery? How long is it going to last?
Practically how many people need all that power?

htc's answer to galaxy note 2 but not enough to beat it... note 2 will win on every benchmark n for such a giant device only benchmarks counts, not the lady looks or girlish accessories... if htc really wana kick note 2 then should have snapdragon S4 quad core krait processor clocked at 2.0 ghz wid adreno 325 gpu along with a huge 3500 mah replaceable battery, 1.5 or 2.0 gb ram n 32gb on board memory with extenal expandable memory card...

Crusadr , 13 Jul 2012Why necessarely a phone with this awesome resolution? it m... moreI agree this is more likely a tablet. To have those extra pixels on 4.7 or 5 inch screens will not really make viewing experience materially better. Also it is too soon for another HTC flagship on Verizon.

I still don't get this Full HD 1080p stuff. wikipedia says:

"1080p is a set of HDTV high-definition video modes that are characterized by 1080 horizontal lines of vertical resolution and progressive scan, meaning the image is not interlaced as is the case with the 1080i display standard. The term assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, thus implying a resolution of 1920 × 1080 (2.1 megapixels)."

and most of the movies labeled as 1080p are 1920 pixels wide but their height are lower than 1080 px since movie theatre screens are wider than the 16:9 ratio (I'm sure everone had that experience when watching a movie on a 1080p screen and it still looks letterboxed with black bars above and belove the picture)

and if it's gonna be a tablet then you would probably use it horizontally most of the time so if you take the virtual menu bar into account you would loose only horizontal lines

I think when someone mentions a device's specs, the actual screen ratio is told no matter how much of it is consumed by a menu bar
and following this "if x*y is FullHD 1080p then y=1080 and x can be anything" logic 1*1080 is a valid Full HD 1080p resolution too?

If this really is an upcoming device I'm considering it at the moment. Please bring a Note 2 with an Exynos 5250 processor to compare. This can be a tablet or a phablet. I just don't know why I don't see this as a logical iteration of the Sensation. The One series should be the new scheme.

if they're going global with it it will be revealed at IFA in Berlin

so it's the clash of the titans
Samsung gNote 2 vs. This gargantuan thing from HTC

Hope HTC wins on all fronts ;)
and by that I mean a removable battery and an SD slot, please let it have a good digitizer and were all set.

If not I just may buy one of the new Nexus and leave it be...
