      With the transition to 5G with super-high bandwidth, we will witness an explosive growth of 8K TV market in the coming years, provided that some major market(s) starts TV broadcast in 8K, which may happen very soon.

        The 5G phone shipment in China will be way over 200 millions for 2020. Both Xiaomi and Realme will offer a full line of low-priced 5G phones starting as low as $70 by the end of 2020, preparing their domestic market for 100% 5G phone takeover in the coming months.

        In 2020, we are witnessing the emergence of two diverging smartphone market: 1) 5G (in transition) market; and 2) 4G market. We have two types of phones: 4G phones and 5G phones.

        In 2021, we will be seeing the emergence of three markets: 1) 5G market; 2) 5G market (in transition); and 3) legacy 4G market. We will have three types of smartphones:
        - 5G phones for 5G market only;
        - General purpose 5G phones for 4G and 5G markets;
        - legacy 4G phones for 4G markets.

              For some reason I don't really care about 5G. It's a current unnecessary cost wave right now except for one major region. 4G is generally plenty enough.

                Anonymous, 10 Sep 2020Wooowwww.... China is the true leader of 5G... Because of 2 reasons
                1- China's the most populated country in the world
                2-China has more exclusive 5G phones that doesn't get a global release. For example the Vivo x50 pro that's only been released in 3 countries in Europe and 2 countries in Asia (that's excluding China). Honor 30 pro I think that was only released in Russia . And then Oppo haven't even released the Reno 3 and 4 here in UK

                    With election coming up & civil unrest, I don't think USA will sell that much 5G phone.
