Carol, without its deliberate assassination, MeeGo could have been nr 1 mobile OS in 2020. It would even have spawned tablets and light laptops years before the Ipad pro's etc. Heck it would have probably made arm and the likes evolve way more.

This guys invested so much in research and testing, they actually forgotten they need to battle with competitors too. Sad, now the world could have had MeeGo as a third Powerfull smartphones system, that was actually way ahead of it's time, as we can all see now, even apple copied the the idea of gesture interaction and after that, android. Imagine that sytsem in 2020. Apple would have had to bring more on the table then just some names like bionic and retina. Names that represent nothing others don't have...

I owned 808 PureView, and N8 before, i remember one of the remarkable features is the FM Transmitter, you could broadcast your own favourite music on air, and when someone near by you could or accidentally tune in to your frequency listen to your play music, so nice.

But you couldn't find phone have this feature anymore, i think is not allowed further due to some restrictions and safety reasons, quite a waste.

Those days where the phone was the product. Not you..simply and straightforward transaction .An era goes by and the internet turns into a data collection tool.

Yeah, I remember this was really a cutting edge way back. And we have to commend Nokia for being so confident with their designs - going out of this world beyond what people can imagine for a phone. By today's standards, it may be considered chunky but Nokia pulls it off. It's like putting 2 devices together.

My friend from Canada gifted me Nokia mobile in 1999. I need that model. Simple and easy to operate. Can Nokia give me that very first version of Nokia mobile? I will be highly obliged. At present I use Nokia 2626 model since last 10 years. I love Nokia.

This phone was not featured in Minority Report. The only Nokia appearance is an ad featuring an unreleased concept phone

This was the "iPhone" of the millennium.

awesone phone, used to make my own polyphonic ringtones from midi files, add apps to this phone and use it a remote control, my first smart phone

I remember when I saw this phone in real, I found it rather ugly and banana shaped like. Back in that time I think I had a NEC n223i as my daily driver.

I still have one knocking around here, good memories and some bad.
Memory on this phone was a nightmare i was forever removing stuff to add something new, but still loved it. Good times
