Realme 7 Pro in for review

18 September 2020
We had a quick hands-on review, now it is time for the whole thing.

I'm impressed by some videos by India YouTubers about this phone. They made very extreme durability test for this. And it's really pass all the test with good results. Even on bend test. The phone still solid. So the frame is aluminum? If not is it still a very durable plastic mid ranger of the year. So the TUV Reinland certificate is truth. Kinda Reminds me of Pocophone f1.

on2wheels, 20 Sep 2020Look at those built in apps, can you even install google me... moreNot sure what you mean about installing Google messaging. The stock contact , call and messaging apps on this phone are all Google apps. And almost all of the bloatware are removable, even apps like the realme store.

      Supar phone smart phone

Look at those built in apps, can you even install google messaging? The X2 was junk because of that, and so many restrictions due to the chinese security locks, no wonder it's not a popular phone. Anything realme is debatable.

@Yordan (Creator of this article) :
"Plenty of smartphone manufacturers are dropping the 3.5 mm audio jack from their midrangers"
Actually, many start to put the Jack back, the ONLY reason it was removed was actually because many peoples used it, as the goal was to force sell wireless accessories, if there wasn't many peoples using it, there wouldn't have been a justified reason to loose a backward compatibility standard on smartphones that still support 3G and Wi-Fi A and other very old standards.
But now that many other brands than smartphones makers are making cheaper and potentially better alternatives, it isn't profitable anymore to make phones without the Jack, mainly considering that peoples who don't want phones without Jack are looking for those who have one.
There are not a single advantage at removing the jack beside forcing users to buy wireless accessories.

"and it is not shipping any earphones with this phone at all"
This is because so many peoples already have tons of them laying around, I am sure the basic household already have like 3 or 4 of them from previous phones and other things, also they are extremely cheap, which is the idea behind Apple removing the charger, previous iPhone owners probably have at least one and potentially more laying around, it save packaging space and cost while reducing wasting functioning products, and if the owner want a faster charger, rather than forcing him to get the in-box pricier fast charger, he have the choice between taking one he probably already have or buying the extra fast one.
Also 3.5mm jack isn't only about earphones, the advantages is the ability to plug a massive amount of devices, from headphones and headset (a surprising amount of peoples don't like having things inside their ears) to accessories that either don't exist in USB or Bluetooth variant (and can't work with the USB-Jack adapter) or are too expensive, a good example is Paypal Jack dongle, same with light accessories like light rings for taking better pictures, and much more.

Is this really an upgrade from the 6 series? Is it worth it? it feels like when the Moto G series went from their stellar 6 series to the 7. it was newer, but not necessarily better.
