Men, who has not enough money for iphone buy android phone. I had android's, rim's phones, but they will not ever compare wirh ios. IOS is the best- quickly, smart & easy to use. Ios 6 is much better, but i think that battery life is still small (till 24 hours) comparing with ios 5.1.1- about 48 hours.

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2012Nope - it's exactly the same if you're on a CDMA or GSM net... moreI got my unlocked Galaxy SIII from UK and use Optus here in Australia.
When there was that OTA update, all I had to do was connect it to my computer and update.

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2012Nope - it's exactly the same if you're on a CDMA or GSM net... moreYeah, the unlocked SGS2 received the update last in the UK. The operators had it first, so they could plant their own branding and software on it (including yet another app store). Of course you could bypass that and flash a Rom, but you shouldn't have to do that.

Apple have total control over iOS, and while it may have certain restrictions, it usually gets updates very quickly and with fewer bugs.

AnonD-53748, 17 Jul 2012That's only if you live in a country using CDMA network. D... moreNope - it's exactly the same if you're on a CDMA or GSM network.

Here in the UK it follows the path - Google>manufacturer>operator>user, so even when Samsung releases an update it still has to go through the operators who then tinker & release it much much later.

As an example: In the past I had both an HTC Legend which was unlocked & unbranded & I had an HTC desire that was locked to Orange.

The Legend received the 2.2 to 2.3 update way before the Desire even though HTC actually released the update for the Desire a month or so before they did for the Legend...

Don't be so ignorant, there are other countries in the world as well that uses GSM.
In fact, the majority of mobile networks are GSM.

Apple do this exactly right, by releasing these updates as beta versions. Samsung did a terrible job with ICS on the SGS2, and are tied to Operators who demand all the latest updates first.

                                Open Source has its disadvantages
