I think the functionality is great. Apple has got this right. The design however looks rubbish. When smart watches everywhere are starting to look stylish, this thing looks like a toy.

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2020battery is joke, still same ugly design :/ who would buy this To be fair to Apple, my Series 3 is rated at 18 hours, but that's doing an hour workout with GPS on, wifi on, Bluetooth playing audio for an hour, etc, etc.
I don't keep the wifi on (I carry my phone pretty much all the time, so need for the wifi on the watch), I'm lazy so don't do lots of workouts, and I get 2 days out of the battery.

I always think that the SE variant only exists for iPhone. Didn't even think that Apple will do the same for the Watch.

Could you enlighten me regarding the features that S6 has and not the Galaxy Watch for example ? Because even regarding the sensor, they are quite similar ... Despite the fact that one is clearly iPhone oriented and another is android oriented (And it's logical). And the price also are similar due to the high price of the Watch3 (Watch is more reasonnably priced since it's been out for a long time)

Even a Galaxy Watch3 with the 2-3 days battery life is far superior and not to mention the original Watch that can go up to 5 days. And I don't even mention other brand (Amazfit, Huawei and so on) that have some 5-15 days battery life smartwatches but with less functionnality (ECG and so on for example).
The Apple Watch 10 will probably have a 2 days battery life ... *sigh*

Anonymous, 15 Sep 202018h of battery life, 400 dollars?I only charge my AW5 to 80% in the morning and it lasts me till next morning with 15% left. The trick is to disable wrist sensing that is constantly firing up the display and animations. I have AW5 which means I have display always-on anyway and I have it set to middle brightness level and auto brightness depending on light conditions so it still goes really bright out in the sun. So, without wrist sense it's still showing me all the statistics, time and all that, it's just not making display super bright and animating because I grabbed a mug of coffee and it thinks it needs to light up more.
I don't quite understand why they gave it faster CPU though, S5 in AW5 is already so much faster than any other watch and everything is super smooth. They should just keep the performance and make it much more power efficient, which should dramatically extend battery life per charge even for heavy users.

Perfect, same watch as the first different name and function that you never need or use,
It's perfect for people with no brain and money,
Apple please make this.... More expensive I'm sure you can sell a lot,
