Tell that to the Chinese OEMs who innovate a lot of smartphones but most of their products are e-waste (except Huawei). Not to mention some may have issues after a few months usage and ends up being discarded.

I don’t want to sound like defending Apple, but they probably didn‘t have an article because „batterygate“ wasn‘t cheating but instead just smart power management for broken batteries, because phones would otherwise shut down and be left with a flat battery.

I speak from experience because I have a Xperia Z1 Compact which had a broken battery. You could start it up at 80% charge, then open Play Store and Update 2 Apps, which is too demanding so the phone shuts down. Then you plugged it in and it had to charge up again from 0%. I‘d rather have it slow down than die completely.

Apple's CPUs have always been 2 generations ahead of the best Android CPUs. Their GPUs have pulled ahead as well. Which is amazing considering they're beating ARM reference designs and previously class leading adreno graphics.

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2020Antutu takes into account a lot more than just CPU. This i... moreIn many cases that haven't been the case. Low end Mediatek phones still boosts its performance in specific benchmark apps to an unrealistic level, some of older Huawei flagships "cheated" albeit using different method (i.e. limits the performance in any apps but in benchmarks), and Samsung, HTC, Xiaomi phones also got caught for showing similar cheating behaviour in the past. Apple never did that before.

This is why gaming phones score higher.

The reason why I mentioned Anandtech being a joke is coz they have an unverified slander article for Android phones cheating in benchmarks, yet don't have a single article on Apple cheating customers over batterygate. According to them cheating comprises of High performance mode activated during benchmarks. In reality, this high performance mode is available to the user during regular usage as well. It just defaults to balanced version to save battery.

They invented their own benchmarking app just so they could get their overrated Ax processors ahead in benchmarks. AppleTech is super biased. Plz give better sources while arguing.

What does that have to do with this. You can lookup other sources for benchmark info if you really think they are biased.
Gaming phone or not the one with better gpu scores higher. Dedicated cooling only helps in sustained performance. Peak would be the same for same soc.

Exynos, though inferior in perform... moreUsually when you compare the Exynos and Kirin SoCs in the second half of the year Kirin has an upper hand especially in CPU performance and power efficiency due to newer lithography/ARM core design or both. In the first half of the following year Exynos catches up and surpasses Kirin in GPU performance. This year doesn't follow that usual pattern though, because if you compare S20 Ultra and Mate 30 Pro you see that the former is leading in both CPU and peak graphics performance whereas the latter is faring better when it comes to CPU/GPU power consumption and sustained graphics performance (though as I said in my previous comments - since Exynos 990 and Kirin 990 are not in the same chassis, the direct comparison between two SoCs is not exactly possible).

Over the years I’ve encountered a lot of such odd results with Snapdragon phones in this benchmark, but this time around I’ve had enough of the weird behavior and I do think there’s some low-level cheating going on. The phone will actually start heating up a lot more than under other workloads, up to the point that the test will actually crash"

Apple's product page lists hardware and software features but not much on actual numbers. Even battery life is mentioned without actual capacity. Most of the Android OEMs mention numbers before going into the features.
Apple doesn't have any competition in iOS ecosystem, its the sole OEM.
In Android, there are very less unique software/hardware feature per OEM. Numbers are a way for OEMs to differentiate themselves. These are then also used by buyers to select devices.
