I have been following Sony since Xperia Z3. They make exceptional hardware but now they are just falling behind. They don't have a winning strategy. You can't compete without injecting a huge budget in marketing and make your device up to date (include punch-hole camera). They keep ranting about previous-gen tech

No Xperia device is worth buying unless you're a Sony fanboy and willing to deal with lots of compromises.
I am a Sony hater and every year Sony still proves me right.

Sony mobile no longer sells their phones in Canada. Such a shame! My son and I have had no choice but to move on to phones of lesser quality. Very sad to be missing out!

Awesome phone, but hard to find and way to expensive....I can´t help feeling that Sony is slowly fading away...(mobile phone division of course)

I'm gonna buy a flagshi... moreI have xperia 1 since last year and bro, I must tell you, they really do improve the quality of the HDR since july 2020 patch. It was natural, but you do need a bit of editing afterward (not as much as before). The daylight, sunrise, sunset is fine, but dim situations still makes you think a bit on how to compensate it. So I'm suure they will imrpove the cameras after a couple updates. Still, the auto mode camera on xperia are not the best if you want snap and post kind of photo.
If you want to have a high refresh rate, no lag phone, get rog or black shark 3 series, and find gcam port. My friend uses ROG 2 and I ported gcam in his phone , the result is night and day between ROG's stock camera app and gcam

What 5G bands are available on this phone, Sony? Your website shows the 2G, 3G, and 4G bands. Weird not to list the 5G bands.

And I wanted to choose between the rog phone, the sony and the iphone. The iphone is no more an option, since it doesn't have at least 90hz (I really want that since I never had a phone to have over 60hz, only saw them in stores). The sony 1 II might not be an option, as stores already ran out of stock, and idk if it will ever come back at a price cheaper than 1400 euros (I have a budget of about 1000 euro). And also they need to improve on daylight shots. They are the best on night shots, but on daylight shots they're quite yuck. Hope the 5 II will fix that
And the rog phone since it is the best specced. And it's the one I'm most inclined on. Maybe even the 4th gen if it won't be too expensive (over 1100 euro).

A picture is worth a thousand words they say. From the picture with the japanese lady, you can tell there is something wrong when you a need to handle a smartphone with two hands..
My smartphone (XZ2C) is first and foremost a COMMUNICATION device, not a camera or a movie theater.
So i'm still not interested by that elongated TV remote stick.

i think i already saw everything about this... but will just watch anyway... just that i dont expect any hype i had with the lg wing... thats my personal choice of best design this year... xperia1ii already got me, just hoping that it gets early those new software improvements that this xperia5ii has...

Didn't we see the same device with Xperia 1 II release?
This one is just smaller, 120Hz screen and will possibly reintroduce focus issues of previous generation due to lack of the ToF.
