This is what happen when you don't know anything about computational photography and still comment on the subject.
The software is at least as important as the sensor, and there are legit evidences that actually it can have a way bigger impact than the sensor itself, which is exactly why Sony, Google and Apple who are known for their really good picture quality use a 12Mp sensor and the other use 108 bazillions pixels sensors and still not beat them.

Regular recording with 120fps is a waste of storage and energy. I personally wouldn't use it outside of slow-motion and it will not be a reality without bigger sensors and bigger lenses since you can't capture enough light with tiny cameras.

When one phone offer the full package of entertament in one devise and the design the Sony fans like in its phones plus water resistance for prices of mind it is not so bad. You see Sony fans does not buy new phones very often and they like the phone they have. For example I buy Sony Xperia phone every 5 years as barriers can last longer than that in Sony phones thanks to "Sony Battary Care". So it is working out not so expensive after all for $1000 USD phone.

I expect Huawei's phone business to die off in the near future, similar to Blackberry about a decade ago.

Sony camera sensors can be found in most brands of smartphones, you don't need to own a Sony phone or have Sony's proprietary camera app to get the best photography.

I just wish they can offer 5000 Amp Battary as 4K screen drain battary fast if using continues. "Sony" please work on high Amp batteries for 4K screens. It does not last all day. Thanks

Also, a person can say good things about a Sony phone online, but then go and buy a Xiaomi or Realme, because they were cheaper or something.
Sony phones are bought generally by Sony fans. The rest of people (which means the majority of people), not so much.

Nothing New, 20 Sep 2020But it isn't must have feature , yeah it looks cool bu... moreExactly, I am for diversity, I am not saying we should get all phones to have Underdisplay FPS, just that those aren't gimmick or just for cosmetic, optical ones should definitely be replaced by ultrasonic one as it doesn't cause any negative effect to the user, but even if I don't like them, I'll gladly prefer phones with different kinds on the market than only underdisplay FPS.

I see soo meny Sony fans here, i am the one of them, but long time ago when Sony was not pretend to be arogant like today and not listening the users/market!
Sony last 3,4 years is "Iphone in Android world" 😏
Is NOT small, dosent have 900 euros screen quallity, dosent have 2020/1 full screen desing, they keep useless 21:9 ratio, finally they drop USELESS 4K screens... Old boring software, updates come once or twice in year and meny more...
For 900 euros i will chose some Huawei, Samsung or cheaper Xiaomi, Oppo and other brands who builds same phone hardware, quallity, like Sony.
If they drop price down to 700 euros people's will consider to buy this phone even they have bezels in 2020/1 year when competition build same and better phones under smaller body, if not, Xperia 5 II will be just another "good phone nobody want to buy" 😏

Nothing New, 20 Sep 2020UD fingerprint ? So you care about look more than function ... moreUnderdisplay fingerprint scanner isn't just about look or something like that, it is also about practicality.
But more importantly, when properly implemented it should be done with ultrasonic FPS which are superior in every regard over capacitive and even more over optical ones.
All flaws that Samsung had with them have been long patched and they now work remarcably well and still they don't use nearly a third of the sensor capabilities like looking inside the finger to use veins as a biometric element or check density to make sure it is flesh.
And even there they use the old version, something like the 3D Sonic Max would blow every other FPS out of the water with is base capabilities, let alone using all in-finger and density checks, and it is the first practical step toward fulldisplay FPS.
The issue with side FPS is that you only get a slim slice of your finger, it is amplified with too thin smartphones, was this smartphone a good 15mm thick it wouldn't be an issue, so even though side and rear FPS could also be ultrasonic, underdisplay FPS are far from a gimmick or cosmetic things when you use something better than optical, they are the future as they allow something called "continuous authentification" that is considered by many brands and once will be done will dramatically improve devices security.
