Its faster..but the power efficiency is quite bad...power consumption also big problem...i using it and when my battery get to 25%....it become super drain....i hope this new chipset will solve all this problems

Clocking it higher will affect power consumption. Hope they worked on that.

Samsung should just rename Exynos 9611 as Exynos 1000 and release it

      And watch Internet explode :)

Anonymous, 20 Sep 2020I have a Note 8 and it never overheats even after many hour... moreYeah. I got my Note8 for almost 3yrs now. No overheating issues, gaming or recording videos. Now I got my Note20 Ultra 5G, and just by taking pictures, it overheats. It also drains battery faster even when not using it. Today my daily driver is still Note8. I only use my Note20 Ultra when shooting videos for YouTube.

Please stop fooling us again and again, even if it's scores are high, Exynos overheats faster than SD chipset; and if device overheats, then performance goes down and battery drains, no body cares about those numbers.

I'll believe it when I see it. "Leaked" Geekbench results mean nothing when it comes to usual Exynos vs SD performance comparison.

What we really need are much better phone games in general.
All of these things are overkill for the heaviest games on smartphones today. Heck, I could even run PUBGM in the highest graphics settings consistently at 40fps on my SD765G phone. (and maybe even up to 60fps with GFX Tool)
That's why I even approved Apple's decision to focus more on efficiency this year rather than unnecessary performance gains, 'cause even the A13 Bionic is far more than enough to handle the heaviest of loads with ease. Until we get more SoC-demanding games on smartphones, I would say we wouldn't need that much more power anymore. It's not like in the early days where even a GB of RAM would be critical on running certain apps.

Again, performance isn't the issue, Throttling and efficiency is

AnonD-940827, 19 Sep 2020Samsung wish. Lolhahahahahahaha so true man

AnonD-754814, 20 Sep 2020This time top in both single and multi core. I hope Exynos ... moreOh yeah now they outperform on both single and multi. Outperforming gpu would be easy, just add a few more mali cores, but that lowers the efficiency. 8895 gpu was like 15% faster than sd 835 gpu but also used 70% more power according to gfxbench tests. It got a lot better with 9810 vs sd845, but with 990 its almost back to 8895 levels again. Looks like nothing but amd can save the gpu part, or maybe the new mali architecture did get better.

There is no real world benefit for pulling heair at such miniscule differences.
The real question mark for me atleast is the thermal efficiency, something that Exynos has been consistent doing wrong for the past 2-3 generation of its chips.

I still think it's too early to take this benchmark score serious.
Some leaks are just stupid. Like SD 875 being started mass production almost 3 months ago.
Generally Qualcomm SoC goes to mass production from October-November, even December(for SD 835)

I've never denied that. So, you don't need to explain those to me. But the advantages are minor and they have other disadvantages too.

iOS Never Again, 19 Sep 2020Can you take that 800$ PC in your pocket everywhere? Always come up with dumb logic.
Who plays games at work ? Most people play games while sitting home.
Besides you can take your laptop with you anywhere, probably you didn't know that.

I came here for the pointless comments. Everyone pretending like they will ever use that much power. Games are optimized so a lot of phones run on them so no matter which processor has the best score, you will probably never use all the power. Maybe after like 5 years when games are more demanding - but then the clockspeed wont be enough anyway and you will need a lower nm number. All this is so dumb.

It being "faster" is always probable but one should also consider, at what cost? Power and TDP is totally left-out.

Stop critizing. Samsung exynos version doing their best to be on top again. Like the older phones from note 4 to the S7 series which definitely best of the best since then.

They just need good cooling solution like what gaming phones offer (if only Samsung got 'inspiration' from Asus' ROG phones cooling solution).

In case of SD810, in 2015, no smartphone manufactures even think about putting 'cooling solution' on smartphones; all options available are: put a lot of thermal paste or clocked down the SoC.
Even in 2016, SD820/821 still have the same overheating issue, albeit a lot better, since QC only put 4cores processors, unlike SD810. Again, in 2016, there is still no adequate 'cooling solution'; 'cooling solution' was only available since 2017 up till now.

.alpha, 20 Sep 2020Yeah right. Someone not only got their hands on Exynos 1000... moreLOL...
Have u ever heard 'prototype' model?
ALL manufacturers made 'prototype models for their products, to test how the hardware & software would behave on 'actual' device.
This 'prototype' often posted the score of the benchmark just to 'tease' leakster about the progress of in-development device.
In case of Samsung, since they make 2 variants of their flagship device (Exynos & SD), it's very much possible to have 3 prototypes being benchmarked & posted on Geekbench.

It's just that, since the score is too underwhelming, there are 3 possible scenarios:
-) The scores are indeed real, but since it was prototype, the software have not been optimized
-) The scores are indeed real, but it was the scores of 'development test board', which is the 'alpha' stage of the device in-development (the prototype is the 'beta' stage)
-) The scores are fake; it's just an edited Geekbench result of different device being edited just for prank.

Well considering Samsung is manufacturing them both, I wouldn't be surprised if the 875 is a flop.
