It amazes me how small the smart watches are yet they are almost a phone on your wrist

Wow, why didn't it occur to him to use the same method ? Because it was actually broken and dead, and not something that a simple pick would solve, you waste of oxygen

Anonymous, 22 Sep 2020"due to safety reasons" is a brainwashed excuse. ... morePrecisely. Planned obsolescence. They're all at it now. Took the glued on back compartment off my three month old vivo iqoo Z1 and the battery is covered by some sort of silver reflective shield. I think it may have something to do with heat dissipation but not screwed on and doesn't have any obvious way of removing. Again looks like intentionally trying to dissuade consumers from disassembly of the device for a diy repair or maintenance.

[deleted post]"due to safety reasons" is a brainwashed excuse. It would be 100 times safer if Apple just used pull tabs on MacBooks as well. They put it in iPhones and act like it's for safety on MacBooks because god forbid someone replaces their batteries instead of buying a new laptop!

[deleted post]At least Samsung doesn't charge $600 for replacing the back glass, which Apple charges for their iPhones. For $600 you can get a flagship Xperia 5 from Amazon, brand new. A friend of mine had a charge port issue on his iPhone and a authorised service center quoted him a price equal to a new phone, which is ridiculous. Now what's the point of repairability score when one can just buy an another phone instead, at the same cost of repair

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 22 Sep 2020Does this work with Androids? Also if not doesn't that... moreApple Watch unfortunately can't be paired with Android. Especially since initial activation has to be with an iPhone.

Also, I'm guessing it's easier to repair now since Apple Watch 6 doesn't have force sensing display anymore. Apple Watch 5 still had it (stronger press was registered as long press). But despite hardware capability, it was removed from AW5 and you now use only long press instead.

Does this work with Androids? Also if not doesn't that make it inferior to the shameless knock-off named T500? :I
