This forthcoming new phone is promised by Realme VP to be "a new hot selling stud". What will this phone be?
- It is 5G.
- Realme V7 (D800U, $220) is coming, but unlikely to be "a new hot selling stud".
- Based on recent leaks, the likely candidate will be X7Ultra, based on a new MediaTek SoC. This SoC is positioned as a next generation mid-range SoC, but outperforms SD865+ according to testing results from the early engineering samples. But according to a Xiaomi insider, this new SoC will not be ready until November.

If I buy a phone today, I should not have a buyer's remorse that something more advanced/latest is available tomorrow for the same price. Plus having so many phones makes it difficult to release the latest updates sooner. All the Chinese phones are nothing but a carbon copy of each other which creates nothing but confusion while purchasing.

This Realme is going to have cutting edge tech (under-display selfie) at a midrange price. Or would you prefer to wait for Apple or Samsung to release it first so they can include it as an exclusive feature in their $1,000+ phones?

JamoaSoe, 24 Sep 2020This brand should launch 365 smartphones a year. And why not? More choices are always a good thing. And, if you’re not satisfied with the current models, you don’t have to wait a full year for something which you might like, since there’s always something new around the corner.
