And a "clean back" is necessary.. whatever that means.. I love practicality and the rear mounted is easily the best at that. In screen is so much nonsense.. so slow etc.

I'm not sure which is more idiotic; blown billions buying over HTC's hw+engineers to prop up the Pixel division OR having a division and then NOT properly sell internationally afterwards.
I'm an ex-Nexus user and at this point I just don't see the need for Pixel's continued existence tbh. Android's Chinese OEM partners are doing a way better job already.

Lower RRP "a" variant my foot, what's with the weird low batt capacity thing going on? So what if it'll come with an 18W fast charging, BETTER if that's paired to a 4500mAh or heck even 7000mAh batt like the Galaxy M71?
And they wonder why they're not gaining the midrange numbers like Redmi or Realme? I swear to God that Google is just dumb at their hardware/phone/Pixel game.

I've been using rear-mounted fingerprint scanners, and speed have always been fantastic, with great accuracy and security.
I wouldn't trade "cool-ness" over "practicality" even for just $1 more.

Xiaomi, Samsung, 1+, Apple are better overall.

LG Velvet SD845 for more than $800.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 for more than $1200.
No way Pixel 4a would arrive there for less than $650.
Pixel 5 would easily be $800.
Few years ago I saw an interview from someone important that works for a well known car maker company. He said they make way more money selling in Brazil than they make in whole Europe.

Still there is the costs of the sealing and certification.
Any of them that advertises the feature , it means it was certified.
The hardware costs more than certification because you need to put inside all and test.
Certification does not include all units. Just few units to test.
This way, would be cheaper to all to just seal without having certification.
Do not believe youtube.
Putting phone in a glass of water, does not mean a phone without the IP will die.

IP68 is cheaper if you have been manufacturing phones with IP68.
Whereas if you have none of your phones being IP68 certified, specifically getting it for one model ends up being costly.
