Anonymous, 29 Sep 2020Well... Samsung has to get rid of it own Exynos somehow, si... moreExactly!
Its Samsung shifting their failed Exynos 990s in a lesser specified/priced device where it's less likely to be complained about.
And shifting all the overstock 865s they bought for their ultra slow selling flagships...

Im a huge fan of Samsung for years, but since asia is forced to get the Exynos version and had no choice to choose apart from getting SnapDragon chipsets yet we are still paying a premium price tags, plus its cameras too is just pure gimmick and getting worst after the note 10 Series.
Im planning to switch phone and platform in the future, Samsung with empty promises for asia.

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2020Samsung has launched FE in India again with the crap called... moreFirst of all Noone is forcing you to buy this, feel free to buy anything you like 🙂 rather than this processor rant. Pretty sure the big smartphone manufacturers have better analysis skills than the self proclaimed tech enthusiasts like many here. For 600 usd it's a bargain.

many premium phone will ... moreFE is not a premium offering, hence no comparison with S21 or iPh12
Its a high-end phone, with latest snapdragon chipset. Its mainly focussing to tackle the $700 segment while offering the best samsung can think of for this year. Period.

High refresh rates are no longer considered a premium feature. Same the glass backs. You can easily find a 180EUR phone (Realme 6) or 230EUR phone (Xiaomi Poco X3) with high refresh rates nowadays. Not to mention, a phone like Redmi Note 8 Pro you can have it with as less as 150EUR new (glass back, nice design).
Of course, their software is still bad and laggy, but design wise or feature wise, they look much more expensive.

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2020You must be joking... only the poco f2 pro has the same Soc...Soc is not only important thing. With soc like sd 765g u will not rly fell the difference, especially with 90 or 120hz refresh rate screen, which many of this devices have.

Rareart1, 28 Sep 2020Bring on the S21 and Note21 series already. You will need to wait until 2021 for that. Hence the “21” in the name.

Aleduoaliga A A, 28 Sep 2020So india is getting the exynos variant this is not fan edit... moreThere won't be any 5G deployment at least for next complete year in India. 2022 is the best case scenario. The spectrum auction is still pending. For 4G deployment, it took carriers more than 5 years to offer 4G networks after the spectrum auction.
Until the auction happens, even the supported bands are unknown. Means whether the 5G phones currently on sale in India will support 5G is still uncertain which makes sense in Samsung's decision of releasing only 4G variant of the device marketed as budget flagship.
The reasoning is only for 5G. There is no excuse for Exynos.
