I really feel that the New Galaxy Note 2 will be very much the same as the S3, However Samsung has put in alot the past years so I strongly can say "Your in for a ride and surprise!! It is a war out there and a waiting game to see who will come out with a better technology believe you me..iphone 5 better get it right this time and make sure that the Bluetooth is also use for transferring Media and Documents instead of just a Headset! Screen I m sure it will be much bigger maybe a 4.7" 0r 4.8" on 1080x30 and it will be able to link with the new iTV.

If it is a Galaxy, it should be android. Galaxy is their android line of products. Same with Wave for Bada, and Omnia for WP.

This will definitely be a flagship device for Samsung. No marketing department would allow the release of another flagship this close to the previous and compete with it. This would hurt sales figures, which are bragging rights to these companies. So this has to be a non-phone device. Even the Galaxy Note2 being announced on August 30 would seem too close to the GS3 that just hit 10M in sales over two months. This would hurt that momentum. Unless the Note is considered to cater to an audience that is just that different. Maybe companies for-see a narrow window in the economy - just joking.

Back on topic,before the SGS3 came out there was another model number (I think I9500?)that no one knew anything about but was said to be another phone,I can again only guess we could be seeing this in August?
