In the same quarter, the global smartphone market has seen a decline of 23% YoY. 5G is a huge factor in smartphone sales this year.

I’m sure the Android manufacturers would be happy though as they would finally be able to sell their gimmick filled flagships which cannot even make the top 10 of best sellers when the iPhone is around :’D Apple pretty much makes up the majority of the premium market as the rest of the market are low end spenders who buy endless low end androids and don’t care for the gimmick filled android flagships. :)

                Can be made thin, light, simple, reliable, really cheap, convenient to use, deployable by a simple button press thanks to spring loading, and easily retractable by pushing the top mirror back against the case.
                This is the simplest and cheapest solution, even if it break, you just replace the case, you use the superior main camera, it doesn't compromise water resistance nor add anything to the smartphone, it respect privacy, and it doesn't really require a PHD to come up with a dozen designs so it wouldn't even be R&D costly.
                Could even be made to be optionally used as a physical shutter for the main cameras when they aren't in use for added privacy and protecting them and keeping them clean.

                  One click theme changes with deep customizablity is something iOS will never have since it is lightweight at best.

You said android have had widgets for 9 years and yet they haven't developed anyway. Why's that? oh because no-one cares them. You will get almost all the things a 700-800EUR phone gets, at 2-3 times lower price. And when you will resell it after 1 year to get the next model available, you loose only 100-200EUR (but you have a new phone every time, with newest Android version out of the box on it). Still better than keeping a flagship phone for 3-5 years. It starts to get boring using it daily, software updates come after 6 months, etc.

                                      For example, Huawei P30 in here initially costed around $800 but 2nd hand prices are now like $200 (trade-in value at Samsung/Apple (authorized reseller) retailers), in-person can be $250 max.

                                      iPhone Xr costed $900 but 2nd hand prices are still $600 max. if in good condition, Samsung S10 costs similar and max. $500.

                                      Huawei phones are good but there's no point in buying them now unless Harmony OS can be worked out.
