Nokia 7 plus is a wonderful mobile. Initially was some issues but with continues updates now i am perfectly satisfied with Nokia 7 plus ..

my 7 plus has same charging port issue I contacted to center many but service provider behaviour was very bad 👎 , they refuse to solve the problem. I complained to hmd global but I am still waiting for their response.

Amazin... moreHMD Global from its very onset had an ambition to set new standards in phone design, material quality and manufacturing innovation by building on the hallmarks of a true Nokia phone experience. On their first year of production (2017) made some beautiful phones be it Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and latter the flagship Nokia 8. They went in a different route where built quality, design, aesthetics had a higher precedence over raw specs and performance. For unheard build quality they went for what Nokia calls "material first led design". In these phones there are no stamped metal parts for decoration (actively used by Chinese manufactures). The inherent strength of these Nokia's comes from carving out the phone for a single block of aluminum to start with. It takes an hour to mill out the whole body from the aluminum block. Finally a die cast metal mid-frame is screwed internally to the metal body which reinforces the core of the device. This used to give there phones unheard structural integrity & durability. This is an approach to engineering that is build to last. The phone body used to get polished for no less than 5 times for roughly 2 hours to provide this incredible satin like look and in-hand feel. A Scandinavian design focusing on quality, design & craftsmanship with an incredible attention to detail.
Even though their 2017 batch had the quality, they lacked in performance when directly compared to Chinese counterparts as Nokia misjudged the current market trend and the phones did not sell well. In 2018, they bounced back and rectified this performance issue for their mid to higher end models and three models stood out. Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus & Nokia 6.1. These three phones had best of both worlds, built quality & performance. This trio is generally considered the best Nokia phones ever made under HMD banner. As openly admitted by Juho Sarvikas (CFO of HMD), Nokia 7 Plus is his favorite phone and as many believes the the best phone HMD ever made. Considering performance, design, built quality & price Nokia 7 Plus is the undisputed king in the entire HMD portfolio for its time frame.
However again due the very aggressive advertising budgets from Chinese & Korean manufactures, these phones did not sell well which led to huge price cuts. During this time I bought a Nokia 7 Plus (4/64GB, $360) for $165 and a Nokia 6.1 (4/64GB, $260) for $100. Both brand new from an online store. These huge price cuts forced by HMD over Foxxcon who were actually producing their phones in order to sell, resulted in huge losses in Foxxcon side, and they pulled out. This caused in big instability at HMD as Foxxcon had the tools & the manufacturing expertise to create these hallmark phones. Hence, HMD's dream of continuing the hallmark "material first led design" unfortunately ended and were mostly confined between 2017 & 2018 models made by Foxxcon.
The current generation of Nokia phones (2019 onward) uses similar manufacturing techniques to any reputed Chinese brands. Cheap and cheerful with a Finnish design touch. This exterior design is just what separates them now against Chinese brands. They now break as easily as any Chinese phones. For example the latest Nokia 8.3 is no different in terms of material, manufacturing technique to a similarly or even a lower priced Chinese branded phone.
What currently sets the Nokia apart is the software. HMD does not have the money to design its own UI skin (old Nokia would have definitely done so to maintain its uniqueness). So the sales pitch is "pure" stock android (as much less expensive) with two Android software upgrades and and three years of security patches. My $150 "Chinese" Oppo F7 also provides the same software updates over the same tenure and comes with it own software overlay which uniquely distinguishes the phone to be an Oppo. Think what would have happened if all phones starts running stock Android. Its like there is just one color in the world: White. I hate this idea.
Having extensively used both my Nokia 7 Plus & 6.1 for over a year now, I have zero complaints. Instead both phones have an understated elegance, a beauty in simplicity and the no-nonsense design which arguably gives off a stylish vibe that's nowhere to be found on the Redmis, Pocos & Realmes. The same cannot be said for the current generation of Nokia's as they do not follow the "material first led design". However when its comes to the software, I have a love & hate relationship with stock Android on Nokia phones. The stock Android is good, but it does not have the level of customization and extra features which comes handy with other customized UIs. Like double tap to sleep. Gesture navigation is very basic and options for customization is very limited.

Nokia 7 plus it has beed a good phone, but witht he charging port issue, and bad support from them, i'm not gonna come back

Kinda like Max Pro M1 then, launched May 2018 and received Sept 2020 security update few weeks ago but still on Pie. Kinda amazed since cheap ass phone like this usually receive very few updates.
