How can they file a lawsuit against that? They would file a law suit against Google the moment Google would share their data with third party! I will not use Google, if it means that my data may be shared with other companies - anyone asking Google for it.

That is not on. It may be even better to give my data to China. There, at least I know that the data is shared only with the CCP Government only.

If I compile a full database of all police officers of a specific city, county or even country then that is my own personal data which I put effort into to collect so it's all mine and no one can force me to hand it over just because they feel like it lmfao... more clowns popping up everyday 😂

US gov't suing Google when Google is their very own silicon valley GEM, DIAMOND, PEARL or whatever you want to call it...

        oh the irony...

this is why some people should not have the authority they have because they're hurting the very own interests of their very own nation...

          Fine them all you want.

People are tired of the malpractices by Google and Facebook.
They are tired of the censorship by Google on their platform.
These monopolies need to be broken.

I don't get how these Americans think, it's Google's data, they collected it, they should be allowed to freely decide who gets to use it and for what in the interest of their own company.

Government suing taxpayers. Height of government overreach. USA is turning from a land of law to a Banana Republic. If people are feeling that google is discriminating they can use other search engines, there are plenty more. Why sue a private company when there are plenty of other options available?

Rippy, 30 Sep 2020It's business. They should leave Google alone in there... moreInterestingly enough, the money they sue Google for does NOT go to the other businesses that it alleges it hurts. This is the fundamental flaw in them penalizing a business it deems unfair to others.

It's like if I destroyed your house and instead of you suing, the local government sues me and I have to pay THEM damages instead of you. This is an exaggerated example and the difference is google indirectly hurts other business (profit losses) whereas in my scenario I directly hurt your house. But you get the point.

Well, ie is always on windows machines. They even removed the E edition after win7. Nobody sued ms for that. So why this? Smells like a power trip from Trump, yet again.
