Good Job Nokia, this is the start of your new goal to lift down android phones. The image resolution of nokia phones are very good.. Some android phones has large pixels however the image appears very low in quality such as: "S, SE, S, L, A,
We are looking forward for nokia - microsoft phone..
I recommend to please attached the 41 megapixels to your new phone..

If Nokia doesn't decide to switch to android then my guess will be that they'll be crushed by samsung,htc,lg and other big android phone manufacturers.

That is very different from plainly saying it is the best, although many wouldn't disagree if I actually have said that.
Technical aspects are one thing, business sustainability is another beast.
I know for a fact several network operators have already reported to Nokia that they would be selling their phones much better if they had Android in it.
I reinstate, if you want Nokia to keep doing side projects like Meego then they must keep themselves alive first.
They wont be doing that if they remain on the path of ignoring what both consumers and network providers have been asking for a long time now.

I'm not even going to ask how much market share did Meego earn for Nokia (it didn't, it was pitiful versus the losses in Symbian), I am just going to ask you if the Meego stunt has even covered it's investment costs (a rhetorical question, I already know it hasn't... just look at the financials, facts DO NOT lie).
I will give you a free hint. If you want your beloved company to still do the great side projects you so much love (Meego for instance), you better start demanding that they remain solvent (that is, they still make enough of a profit from products which most people do actually want: Android).
It hasn't got to be a mutally exclusive thing you know! They could do Meego, WP and Android at the same time and reap all markets!
But reality falls upon them.
Failure to comply with the deliverance of what the costumers actually want has only one possible outcome (like it always had trough out history), they will disappear along with all their great niche stuff.

Anonymous, 25 Jul 2012Wen will Nokia start making an Android based phone,can't th... moreandroid?you think android is the best?please explain how.if you want to judge a platform,judge the platform itself.not the hardware.android succeeds in high end devices only because those phones have superb hardware like super-1 ghz processors,super-512 mb ram,with graphic processing units.on the other hand,symbian or ios manages with much lower specs in terms of hardware demand.so what greatness is there in the platform called android?android first introduced the flat menu system,with the excuse that it's easier to handle.long after cupcake and eclair android learnt that folders are a necessity and so now they took to folders which had been there in symbian since ages.next is battery use.android is a battery hog.even with high end phones,people have to charge daily,the battery charge always keeps evaporating.let me not put you to shame by reminding the stand by or talk time of your non android phones.next comes ram management.android fails there too.androidists always keep closing apps for the infamous NOT ENOUGH MEMORY message.in phones like galaxy ace ye have seen the worst form of it.

One more thing I wanted to add:
Lumia Pureview, as Nokia somewhere mentioned won't be as powerful camera, as 808 is.
It would be a small scale version of 808's lens, I'm assuming with a 20/ 18 MP lens.
Nokia did say this. can't quote where, but they did say this for sure...

Meh meh meh. Why nokia no make android? Ptooey! What is android? Linux! Nokia already made superior linux phone. N9. It got jelly bean. Not that any meego lover(myself included) will make the switch. Meego better than android. Speak less if you dont know what your talking about...

For many of us, the camera of 808 alongwith Android OS is the combo we'll buy anyday!
But this aquisition is good news nonetheless. :) Scalado are an amazing group with good imagination.
And I believe the best cameraphone manufacturer will be even better at imagery, as time passes by...

All you needed was to "acquire" a semi-competent team which could bring Android to your devices.
Is it that hard to understand? The majority of the market wants Android and Nokia isn't giving what the market wants.
No wonder their financial rating has just been downgrade to junk.
