The Microsoft Surface Duo found impossible to repair

01 October 2020
The Duo is thinner than most dual screen and foldable phones out there - that means that some sacrifices had to be made.

No matter what brand you like in the computer world it most probably exists because of microsoft. Hack even google would be none-existen if microsoft did not have a platform to support their engine. Not to mention apple.

Honestly don't remember when was the last time I needed to repair a smartphone.

Tab Active 3 also has IP-rating and is capable of being plugged directly and used without a battery.

No wonder we are stuck in this dumb situation of nearly irrepairable devices. Thanks to people like you.

As if modern devices were easy to repair. All phones and tablets are glued, those with weather sealing even more, plus all the protective tapes inside. And what would you repair on it, or change, or upgrade? Get a new CPU? Or RAM? More storage? Oh, which tablet can do that?
I hope this device comes to our country as well, I'm planning to buy one. Two screens, two documents to work with. Or presentation+notes simultaneously. Or an e-book with notebook for boring lectures and conferences I visit. Or many other things that can be done with two screens.

do you intend to use it for longer then warranty duration? don't buy it.

no matter though, personally i find it far too expensive for what it does so i will say pass...

It looks elegant, but i don't see a practical reason for most people to buy one of these. With foldables, you get a phone that turns into a mini tablet.

This type of dual-screen device on the other hand just improves multi-tasking on the unfolded state. You can't use it for multimedia consumption (unless you're into bezels running between your media).
