as long as they don't support FIRMWARE UPDATES, they will lose. I had Optimus Pad (v900). The specs were amazing (tegra 2, 5mp camera and front facing camera) BUT with NO firmware update at all!, still on 3.0.1. Aw, come on LG, don't just sell the product but please think how to maintain your loyal customers. If I knew there is no update at all, I won't buy LG phones anymore

They should prioritize in making their current customers happy by providing timely updates and not focusing on just selling. That way they could compete with samsung.

I think the only thing LG doesn't have is Strong Advertisement !
LG really has very cool Smart phones !
LG can really grow up fast if it has strong advertisement like Samsung !
LG designs a way better than Samsung ! for example LG Optimus 4X HD has really cool look ! but GSIII has really ugly look !

LG's decision to remove the native video call support from their recent phones proven to be wrong.
most people won't buy phone with one less feature when compared to competitor's phone, especially when those phones have equal price.

Perhaps it would be an idea NOT to sell your best stuff to Apple for them to use in their products, but instead use them yourself in your products to your customers. . .
And like absolutely every other Android Manufacturer, update faster, or make som change allowing direct updates from Google, not having to go through carrier and manufacturer all the time.

They need to come out with faster firmware updates, better display resolution, probably also add 3rd party tools like Go-launcher, Live-wallpapers, BETTER CAMERA APP for both 2D and 3D, this is where Sonys and Samsungs take over LG.. I own a Optimus 3D - P960.. The phone is beautiful with beautiful 3d, but on-screen, status-bar looks so cluttered.. anf ofcoarse NO FIRMWARE UPDATES..

LG should not be AT ALL surprised with the poor sales and revenue generated from handsets. Their support for their phones is not even worthy enough to be compared to a dog's turd; 95% of all the comments on LG Mobile's page are just comments like "ICS FOR OPTIMUS 2X" and such.

overall the company did well.
