please, does this watch have GPS reverse navigation?

When I later synced, it claimed that I had a pulse around 90 the whole time... (not completely constant, but rather flat)
My guess is that it picked up some vibrations from e.g the heating system and grossely misinterpreted them...

Yes, you are right, the Band 5 under-measures the heart rate for me as well, several times. It's annoying. I have been using it for just couple of months now and and I usually follow up the watch's readings with a manual reading and found that 80% of time it's accurate, but rest of the time it just shows lower values than actual. I hope your 'personal feeling' of the ES being the more accurate device is correct ha ha, as I am looking for the most accurate device in this price point.

Well I do not have any reliable reference measurement, so can not say about the accuracy, But they do not agree mounted on the same arm (giving some funny curves).
I have a feeling that the Watch ES is more correct - but could be the other way round.
Made a minor blog entry on the two, that is likely to be extended further. http://eskerahn.dk/?p=4048

By the way, does the watch ES have any better (read accurate) sensor than the Band 5? I have the band 5 and would like to upgrade to something which shall have more accurate sensors (SpO2 and heart rate) without breaking the bank. Or does it have identical sensor as the Band 5?

Huawei has really got bad rep in US, Europe Asia and other major countries as it has been portrayed as Chinese spy machine in 5G implementation. Now it's directly/indirectly banned in Canada, usa, india, Europe, austrailia and many more countries. The dream of Xis of becoming digital superpower has failed miserably. That's why in other countries they are launching many more products in the name of honor brand

The two variants with different branding have different watch straps.
The Honor Watch ES is much like a Band 5 with wider housing and much larger screen.
Actually the former looks LESS monstrous on a arm that isn't fat, as it is ever so slightly shorter, and does not have the forced curves at the ends. The double width makes it look more like a decent watch.

Honor has that one thing which Amazfit or other Xiaomi bands do not have: accurate fitness tracking for a cheap price. Xiaomi has more gimmicks here and less practicality, and the fitness tracking is crappier. Honor FTW here always!

                  Hahahaha
Now everything will be launching in the brand name of honor not huawei 😂
