Nvidia pushes RTX 3070 launch back to October 29 to help its partners prepare more cards

02 October 2020
The RTX 3080 and 3090 were available in very limited numbers, which frustrated fans on launch day. Nvidia doesn't want to repeat this.

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2020And they crash all day , no thanks .Had an R9 280x for three years, no crashing issues. Have a Ryzen 7 2700 for two years, no crashing or other issues. What's your point, the RDNA driver issues? Well, Nvidia failed at that as well with the RTX 3080. But I guess you conveniently haven't heard about that.

Yeah, they'll have a whopping 1000 pieces ready instead of another paper launch. Don't bother trying to get this for a reasonable price before december/januari.

Blutbad-fuchsbau, 03 Oct 2020I'm actually interested in the 3070 as I'll need ... moreI'm definitely waiting to see AMD's response to Nvidia Ampere graphic cards.

"According to Nvidia’s official numbers, the RTX 3070 will deliver similar performance to the mighty RTX 2080 Ti while costing only half as much (the new card will sell for $500)."

A moment of silence for anyone who just recently bought an RTX 2080 Ti card.

If AMD has 16GB in offer for a little bit more then I'm sold. They already have the more efficient node and now we need performance.

they did this so that they have time to decide for final pricing against AMD. It appears that AMD's 16GB card will compete/equal the 3070

It's more like nvidia wants to prepare the price first since the new Radeon cards will be announced at 28th.

I'm actually interested in the 3070 as I'll need a stable 180 to 200fps on the Spectre 200Hz 2560x1080 monitor which I will be buying within the next 2 to 3 months.

If there's an AMD alternative(6700xt?) I'll grab that instead as AMD will always be the better card than the Nvidia counterpart.
