tbh it's surprising that apple even had other brands sold in there shops in the first place. For other brands like Samsung, Sony and so on it makes sense as they have made the headphones all the time. Have long history of making all types of electronic devices.

Xiaomi pretty much makes everything too so no surprise there.

Apple should not sell other companies product through their stores in the first place.

Since, selling them is not an issue but removing them is.

And now when they have their own product to fill the need of course they want to sell that instead others and there's nothing wrong about that or illegal.

Remember the days when Apple stole app features from their store devs (who made money for them) and claimed them as their own without compensating the actual developer?

              Quite similar, eh?

You get dropped like a hot potato when you are deemed of no use.

It's the integrated easy and effortless experience. Also the brand helps. If average user have iPhone and he's been very happy about it and happy with the earpods already, it's no brainer to understand that it's very easy for him to buy AirPods, which offers same than earpods, but better. When you buy AirPods or AirPods Pro you can't really go wrong.

AirPods also always have had really good call quality! Something which brands like you said lacked before, don't know what the situation is now. but in short wireless earphones these days are also lot more than sound and even sound is matter of taste thing and AirPods sounds really good for most listeners. Amazon have 4,6 score average for sound from users.

Well there is a difference between Sony, Xiaomi, Samsung and Apple - If you will buy their products you will be able to use it with anyone else device and vice versa. But not if it's Apple you can't use apple watch with other smartphone or even with macbook, only with iphone. Apple designed it's own bluetooth codec (AAC) for headsets, back in the day they made their own 3.5 headsets standard, that was incompatible with whole market, to sell their own headsets. They still don't use usb typeC in iphones, even though they created this connection type.
So removing third party devices from store means not just selling their own devices. This means they will try to make all other devices incompatible once again.
Same in app store: before they will announce new feature in next ios - they remove utility apps from their store with same functionality, and make incompatible any new application.

But yeah this is just business and this is not monopoly at all, they are like other mono brand stores. Believe in this if you wish.

i've always found Beats to be overpriced for what they are. I remember when in 2010/11 there was a time when EVERYONE was on the Beats hype. I reckon they're only overpriced because Dr dre is well known, they've got the same sound quality as a £60 headphone company. Me personally I'd rather take my money and spend the exact same on a pair of over ear wireless bose or Sennheiser headphones. Paying the same money but the sound quality isn't even comparable

                            Wow
                            Everyone now defending Apple

                            So matter of fact

Sony , McDonald's and Xiaomi stores been created for their specific brands respectively

They weren't a total market as Apple once was
Apple now is just killing the competition

Glad there are a lot of other markets than Apple

This is like you are saying that Macy's shall only sell Macy's brand or Carrefour shall only sell Carrefour 1 products

That's not an excuse and if it will be excuse, why everyone will attack Google and put it in antitrust because they only want its applications on their own OS

Apple music products are sh*t anyway. They do not compare with their ipads or iphones.
I really do not understand how people can pay so much money for airpods. When at lower price point you have offers from Sony, Sennheiser or Audio-Technica (and better quality).
The same goes for Beats headphones. Good only for football players to show off maybe.

Xiaomi only sells Xiaomi accessories, electronic homewares, etc.

Same applies to many other OEMs.

I see no wrong here. Apple is on the right track.

Hello Life, 06 Oct 2020Apple greed once more. You Apple haters are hilarious. Guy above comparing this to McDonalds not selling Burger King and Sony not selling Philips made a good point. It's not greed, it's just a good business. Why would you sell competing products if you have your own range of products within that segment?
