A proper Poco F1 successor is coming to India at some point in the future

The Poco F2 Pro is not it, at least not for the subcontinent.

It's probably gonna come with Snapdragon 860/870 or whatever the name of the new chip from 8-series is that would slot below 875 as it should cost around what 855 costs these days. That would allow it to have a 'flagship series' processor without going for the absolute best. Just having an 8-series tag will sell a lot more phones. And Xiaomi these days is the first to release new chips anyway.

And for those who think Qualcomm won't release such a chip, the rumors are already there. The difference between current top 7-series processor and 8-series is massive and allowing Mediatek to fit right in. If Qualcomm allowed it to continue, it will be a disaster for her when Mediatek gains the financial incentive to 'produce' more chips for international market (with the next dimensity series chips). Exynos giving up mongoose and AMD entry means there is suddenly more competition in future and you just can't allow there to be a massive gap in your product range. The smartphone manufacturers will flock to alternatives with 'flagship reputation' as the 7-series is just not good enough marketing. Just look at the Nord disaster. Good times for consumers ahead anyway.

On the other hand if there is no such chip, the 'Poco F1 successor' is going to be dead on arrival. And I don't think Xiaomi is going to stupid to do so. It is hurting Xiaomi to gave up the whole 20k-40k slot in India to Realme with no successor to the now dated K20 pro.

          So what is the point making POCO independent Sub-brand of Xiaomi? Can't devlop its own products & have rely on Xiaomi for Rebranding for sake of reason for existence??

                Poco is AMAZING
                One of the few brands remaining that know what the consumer wants.
                realme is also great, although they have started to overflood the market with weekly launches

                  Poco f2 pro is truly successor.

                          BS statement ... Poco only want a quick way to make more profit .. just short term plan ..and
                          They did not intended to build their brand images.. kinda stupid plan if you ask me.. rip poco.

                          ..imho, just make flagship with affordable price and that alone will definitely set you apart from other oem. . Set a standard QC, just included the necessary features, maintain the same price for every successor release.. the hype they build up before this, just for nothing.

                              It's all about supply chain logistics. The moment some key components, including the 865 (perhaps 875) get a bit cheaper or are at the end of their lifecycle is when the Poco F2 should be coming in. That's precisely what happened with the F1 coming in at the end of the 845. Which is understandable. What's not is rebranding Redmi phones as Pocos. Especially the latest C3 (or some such) that doesn't even have a Fingerprint scanner and charges via Micro USB.

                                    Too late. This company has lost the plot.

                                    Try this:

                                    * Flat screen

                                    * Headphone jack

                                    * Dedicated sd card slot

                                    * Pop-up front camera

                                    * 6-7000mAh battery

                                    Someone needs to make this phone.

                                      If an indian in india office of xiaomi/poco is saying to launch poco F1 IT IS MARKETING DEPARTMENT REBRANDING A PHONE not xiaomi from china R&d developing a new phone
                                      IMO
                                      they launch snapdragon 855 Redmi k20 pro(22999INR) as poco F2 (18999INR)
