Sony Xperia 5 II available for pre-order in the US with a free gaming bundle, but there's a catch

Two, in fact. First, the phone won't ship until December 4, well over a month from now. Also, it's 4G only unlike the European model.

Also, again, not all Europe has 5G and if 4G roaming data is expensive, I can't imagine how expensive 5G will be. You are better off using wifi instead.

AnonD-731363, 12 Oct 2020950 for a 4G low end flagship is bit funny movement from Sony. Is the 4G or 5G the only deciding factor while buying a phone ? Also when you call it a "low end flagship", do you even have an idea on what are you talking about ? This phone is one the most premium, feature loaded flagship phones to come out recently, from a company that supplies parts to most of the smartphone industry and you're calling it low end, that's really a bit weird to say

What? 4G? That's actually great news. Who the fucks needs 5G today? Cellphones at much last 3 years, so in 3 years, there will be better 5G antennas and coverage.

Nice freebies but the power bank is kind of useless as the phone doesn't have wireless charging and the rest two also aren't of much use to people who don't game on their phones. Instead they could've given some premium headphones or the wireless earbuds which again, people have in plenty but if those were Sony branded, then it'd have been of some pleasure to have. If not, a slightly lower price would've also worked for appealing to a lot more buyers at $800 or even $850, but overall a fantastic phone by far, even at Sony's prices. This is one of those phones I'd gladly buy over the Galaxies or the iPhones which aren't really worth the money IMO

Xperia Pro was supposed to give the US (well...AT&T, Verizon, and partial T-Mobile) the 5G bands but not only is it uber expensive but it's STILL not out yet.

Sony needs to not only give the Xperia 1 Mark iii a 5,000mAH battery (minimum), 90Hz refresh rate, and better speakers, they NEED to give the phones full 4G/5G bands (since they left out band 71 for whatever reason this year) for all markets (5G bands 2, 5, 66, and 71 come to mind alongside the 3 mmWave bands).

                                  Cheaper than 2017 iphone.

Failing Sony Mobile will never learn.

Can we just draw-up the tombstone for this inevitable dead business?

Release date set to december 4 and close to the launching of new Snapdragon 875 5nm SOC.
