Apple with their discriminating pricing is getting worse year over year :'< used to be around extra 150usd in Malaysia compared to US pricing and now it's an extra around 250 USD -.-
The iPhone 12 64gb is selling for 941USD wtf, the 20W charger is another 30USD nice
Looks like I may go Note 20 FE if its launch is around 600-700USD because judging from other Samsung phones, they don't discriminate their price against us.

After looking at these prices, it's clear that Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has destroyed the iPhone 12 & 12 Pro models worldwide, that too even before launch.
Good job by Samsung, they already have record profits this year and a bunch of money coming their way via deals between them and Qualcomm.

Anonymous, 13 Oct 2020The same reason chinese phobes are cheaper in china. That would be the case if the iphones were manufactured in the US but they're made in China and India, so the transporting charges are the same. Hell, the iphones should be the cheapest in the country of manufacturing as there are no extra transport fees and taxes.

The Value Added Tax in Europe is circa 20% depending on the country and there are no indirect taxes on mobile phone like excise duty or anything, so a $1000 phone should cost around 1000 euros. Apple is the only smartphone company doing this. And what about the Indian prices - seriously a 512GB iphone 12 max costs as much as a Samsung Fold 2

Can someone enlighten me on how the prices outside the US are made? Here in central Europe, the price of the iPhones is MUCH higher in Euros compared to Dollars, that can't all be taxes. Especially when Google prices their Pixels with the exact same numbers in Europe and in the US (350 Dollars in the US, 350 Euros in Europe for the Pixel 4a, compared to 399 Dollars in the US and around 480 Euros in Europe for the new iPhone SE).
Where does that difference between Googles and Apples price-conversion come from?

And this sums up why iphones are mostly popular in the US - Apple and their ridiculous pricing that makes no sense. I wonder how many of the US apple fanboys, who like to ramble how iphones are so worth it over the competition, would go for an iphone if they had to pay $200 to $700 more like in other regions. And what's with these crazy Indian prices - didn't they move their production over there.
